Please adhere to the following safety instructions for your BEKO WEX84064E0W washing machine:

Life and property safety:

• Never place the product on a carpet-covered floor to prevent overheating of electrical parts.

• Unplug the product when not in use.

• Installation and repair procedures should always be carried out by an Authorised Service Agent.

• Ensure water supply and draining hoses are securely fastened and undamaged to prevent leaks.

• Never open the loading door or remove the filter while there is still water inside the product.

• Do not force open the locked loading door. It will open after the cycle ends. If it doesn’t open, refer to the “Loading door cannot be opened” section in troubleshooting.

• Use only detergents, softeners, and supplements suitable for automatic washing machines.

• Follow instructions on textile labels and detergent packaging.

• The required water supply pressure is between 1 to 10 bars (0.1 – 1 MPa).

• Do not use old or used water inlet hoses on the new product.

Children’s safety:

• This product can be used by children aged 8 and above and persons with reduced capabilities if they are supervised or instructed on safe usage.

• Children should not play with the product. Cleaning and maintenance should not be done by children without supervision.

• Children under 3 should be kept away unless continuously supervised.

• Keep packaging materials away from children.

• Keep children away from the product when it is in use. Use the child lock feature.

• Close the loading door when leaving the room where the product is located.

• Store all detergents and additives in a safe place away from the reach of children.

Electrical Safety:

• If the product fails, do not operate it until it is repaired by an Authorised Service Agent to avoid electric shock.

• Plug the product into a grounded outlet protected by a 13 A fuse. The grounding installation must be done by a qualified electrician.

• Do not wash the product by spraying or pouring water on it.

• Never touch the power cable plug with wet hands. Unplug by grasping the plug, not by pulling the cable.

• The product should be unplugged during installation, maintenance, cleaning, and repair procedures.

• If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, authorised service, or a similarly qualified person.

Hot Surface Safety:

• The glass of the loading door becomes very hot during washing at high temperatures. Do not allow children to touch the loading door glass while washing.

• The BEKO WEX84064E0W has been designed for domestic use. It is not for commercial purposes and should not be used outside its intended use.

• The product must only be used for washing and rinsing laundry that is marked accordingly.

• The service life of your product is 10 years. During this period, original spare parts will be available to operate the appliance properly.

• This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:

– staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;

– farm houses;

– by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;

– bed and breakfast type environments;

– areas for communal use in blocks of flats or in launderettes.

Follow these steps for proper installation of your BEKO WEX84064E0W washing machine:

1. Choose an appropriate installation location:

• Place the product on a hard and level floor, not on a carpet with high pile.

• If stacking with a dryer, the total loaded weight is about 180 kg. Ensure the floor can support this load.

• Do not place the product on the power cable.

• Do not install in environments where the temperature falls below 0°C.

• Leave a gap at the sides to reduce vibration and noise.

• Do not place heat sources like hobs or ovens on the washing machine.

2. Remove the transportation locks:

• Before operating, you must remove the transportation safety bolts from the rear of the machine.

• Use an appropriate wrench to loosen all bolts until they turn freely.

• Remove the transport safety bolts by rocking them slightly.

• Insert the plastic covers (found in the user manual bag) into the openings on the rear panel.

• Keep the transportation bolts in a safe place for future moves.

3. Connect the water supply:

• A flow of 10–80 litres of water per minute from a fully open tap is necessary for the machine to run smoothly. If pressure is higher, attach a pressure-reducing valve.

• Do not connect single water inlet models to a hot water tap.

• Connect the drain hose to a minimum height of 40 cm and a maximum height of 100 cm. Secure the hose to prevent flooding.

• To prevent siphoning, do not immerse the end of the hose into wastewater or insert it more than 15 cm into the drain.

4. Adjust the feet:

• To ensure the machine operates silently and without vibration, it must be level and balanced.

• Loosen the lock nuts on the feet by hand.

• Adjust the feet until the product stands in a stable and balanced way.

• Tighten all lock nuts by hand again. Do not use tools to loosen the lock nuts.

5. Make the electrical connection:

• Connect the product to a grounded outlet protected by a 13 A fuse.

• The mains voltage must match the voltage specified in the “Technical specifications” section.

• Do not use extension cables or multi-plugs.

If the fitted moulded plug is not suitable for your socket, it should be cut off and an appropriate plug fitted. The old plug should be destroyed to avoid a shock hazard. If you need to fit a different plug, proceed as follows:

1. Connect the green-yellow or green (earth) wire to the terminal in the plug marked ‘E’ or with the earth symbol, or coloured green and yellow or green.

2. Connect the blue (neutral) wire to the terminal in the plug marked ‘N’ or coloured black.

3. Connect the brown (live) wire to the terminal in the plug marked ‘L’ or coloured red.

With alternative plugs, a 13A fuse must be fitted either in the plug or adaptor or in the main fuse box. If in doubt, contact a qualified electrician.

Sorting the laundry:

• Sort laundry according to fabric type, colour, degree of soiling, and allowable water temperature.

• Always follow the instructions on the garment care labels.

Preparing laundry for washing:

• Remove metal attachments like underwiring or belt buckles, or place items in a laundry bag or pillowcase.

• Empty all pockets of items like coins, pens, and paper clips.

• Place small items like infant’s socks and nylon stockings in a laundry bag.

• Place curtains in without compressing them and remove curtain attachment items.

• Fasten zippers, sew loose buttons, and mend rips and tears.

• Do not wash colours and whites together. New, dark-coloured cottons can release dye and should be washed separately.

• Treat tough stains properly before washing.

• Wash trousers and delicate laundry turned inside out.

• To reduce pilling, keep laundry items made of Angora wool in a plastic bag in the freezer for a few hours before washing.

• Shake off intense substances like flour, lime dust, or milk powder from laundry before placing it in the machine.

• Operate the product at the highest load capacity allowed for your selected programme, but do not overload.

• Follow the temperature instructions on the detergent packaging.

• Wash slightly soiled laundry at low temperatures.

• Use faster programmes for small quantities of lightly soiled laundry.

• Do not use prewash and high temperatures for laundry that is not heavily soiled or stained.

• If you plan to dry your laundry in a dryer, select the highest spin speed recommended during the washing process.

• Do not use more detergent than recommended on the detergent packaging.

Loading the laundry:

1. Open the loading door.

2. Put the laundry items into the product in a loose manner.

3. Push the loading door to close until you hear a locking sound. Ensure that no items are caught in the door.

Correct load capacity:

The maximum load capacity depends on the type of laundry, degree of soiling, and the desired washing programme. The BEKO WEX84064E0W automatically adjusts the water amount according to the weight of the laundry inside. Comply with the information in the “Programme and consumption table”. Overloading the machine will decrease washing performance and may cause noise and vibration problems.

The detergent drawer has three compartments:

• (1) for prewash

• (2) for main wash

• (3) for softener

There is also a siphon piece in the softener compartment.

General Usage:

• Add detergent and softener before starting the programme.

• Do not leave the detergent drawer open while the washing cycle is in progress.

• When using a programme without prewash, do not put detergent in the prewash compartment (no. “1”).

• If using a detergent bag or dispensing ball, place it directly among the laundry in the drum.

• If using liquid detergent, use the liquid detergent container in the main wash compartment (no. “2”).

Choosing the Detergent Type:

• Use different detergents for coloured and white laundry.

• Wash delicate clothes only with special detergents (e.g., liquid detergent, wool shampoo).

• It is recommended to use liquid detergent for dark coloured clothes and quilts.

• Only use detergents manufactured specifically for automatic washing machines. Do not use soap powder.

Adjusting Detergent Amount:

• The amount depends on the laundry amount, soiling degree, and water hardness.

• Do not exceed recommended dosage quantities on the package to avoid excessive foam and poor rinsing.

• Use less detergent for small loads, lightly soiled clothes, and short programmes.

Using Softeners:

• Pour the softener into the softener compartment of the detergent drawer.

• Do not exceed the (>max<) level sign on the softener compartment.

• If the softener has lost its fluidity, dilute it with water before adding it.

Note: • Selectable, * Automatically selected, cannot be cancelled.

Note: Water and power consumption may vary subject to changes in water pressure, hardness, temperature, laundry type, auxiliary functions, spin speed, and electric voltage.

1. Programme Selection:

• Determine the programme suitable for the type, quantity, and soiling level of your laundry using the “Programme and consumption table”.

• Turn the Programme Selection knob to the desired programme.

2. Temperature Selection:

• When a programme is selected, the recommended temperature appears on the indicator.

• Press the Temperature Adjustment button to change the temperature. It decreases gradually. You cannot make changes in programmes where temperature adjustment is not allowed.

3. Spin Speed Selection:

• When a programme is selected, the recommended spin speed is displayed.

• Press the Spin Speed Adjustment button to change the speed. Options for “Rinse Hold” and “No Spin” will also appear.

• Use “Rinse Hold” if you are not unloading laundry immediately to prevent wrinkles. To drain the water later, adjust the spin speed and press Start/Pause, or use the “No Spin” function.

4. Auxiliary Function Selection:

• Select desired auxiliary functions before starting the programme. Icons for selected functions will illuminate.

• Some functions cannot be selected together. If a conflicting function is chosen, the first one will be cancelled.

• Common auxiliary functions include:

– Prewash: For heavily soiled laundry.

– Fast+: Shortens programme duration by over 50% for moderately or slightly soiled laundry.

– Steam: Reduces creases and ironing time for unspotted cotton, synthetic, or mixed laundry.

– Remote Control: Connects the product to smart devices.

5. Setting End Time (Delay Start):

• You can delay the programme start for up to 24 hours.

• After selecting the programme and functions, press the End Time button to set your desired completion time.

• Press the Start/Pause button to activate the countdown.

6. Starting the Programme:

• Press the Start/Pause button. The button’s light will illuminate steadily, and the loading door will lock.

7. Changing Selections After Starting:

• Adding Laundry: Press Start/Pause. If the water level is suitable, the door will unlock, and you can add items. Close the door and press Start/Pause again to resume.

• Switching to Pause Mode: Press the Start/Pause button. The pause symbol will flash on the display.

• Changing Programme: Turn the programme selection knob. This will cancel the current programme, and the new one will start anew (unless Child Lock is active).

8. Cancelling the Programme:

• Turn the programme selection knob to a different programme or turn the machine off and on again. If the door won’t open due to high water level, select the Pump+Spin programme to drain the water.

9. End of Programme:

• The “End” symbol appears on the display. If no button is pressed for 10 minutes, the machine will switch to OFF mode.

The Child Lock function prevents children from tampering with the machine and changing a running programme.

To activate the Child Lock:

Press and hold Auxiliary Function button 3 for 3 seconds. A countdown (“3-2-1”) will appear on the display. After the countdown, the child lock symbol appears on the display, indicating it is active. You can then release the button.

To deactivate the Child Lock:

Press and hold Auxiliary Function button 3 for 3 seconds. A countdown (“3-2-1”) will appear on the display. After the countdown, the child lock symbol disappears.

When the Child Lock is active, an audio warning will sound if any buttons are pressed. The warning is cancelled if the buttons are pressed five times consecutively. You can still switch the machine on and off with the On/Off button; the programme will resume from where it stopped when you switch it back on.

In case of a power failure, you can use the loading door emergency handle to manually open the door. Before opening, make sure there is no water in the machine to avoid flooding. Water may be hot and could cause scalding.

1. Turn off and unplug the appliance.

2. Open the pump filter lid at the bottom front of the machine.

3. Locate the loading door emergency handle behind the filter cover. Use a tool to remove it.

4. Pull the emergency handle downwards to open the loading door.

5. If the door does not open, try pulling the handle downwards again.

6. After opening the door, return the emergency handle to its original position.

Regular cleaning extends the service life of your BEKO WEX84064E0W and reduces common problems.

Cleaning the Detergent Drawer (every 4-5 cycles):

1. Press the dotted point on the siphon in the softener compartment and pull the drawer towards you to remove it.

2. Lift the rear part of the siphon to remove it for cleaning.

3. Wash the drawer and siphon with lukewarm water in a washbasin. Use a brush and wear gloves.

4. Insert the drawer back into its place, ensuring it is seated well.

Cleaning the Loading Door and Drum:

• For products with a Drum Clean programme, run it every 1-2 months. This programme uses steam to soften residues. Run with an empty machine and add a powder lime-scale remover for washing machines to the main wash compartment (no. “2”).

• After every wash, check that no foreign substances are left in the drum.

• If holes on the door bellow (seal) are blocked, open them with a toothpick.

• Clean rust stains on the drum surface with cleaning agents for stainless steel. Do not use steel or wire wool.

Cleaning the Body and Control Panel:

• Wipe the body with soapy water or non-corrosive mild gel detergents and dry with a soft cloth.

• Use only a soft, damp cloth to clean the control panel.

Cleaning the Water Intake Filters:

• Filters at the rear of the machine and at the end of the water intake hoses prevent dirt from entering. Clean them when they get dirty.

1. Close the taps.

2. Remove the nuts of the water intake hoses to access the filters on the water intake valves. Clean them with a brush. If very dirty, remove with pliers to clean.

3. Take out the flat filters and gaskets on the tap ends of the hoses and clean thoroughly under running water.

4. Replace the seals and filters carefully and tighten the nuts by hand, ensuring no leaks.

Draining Water and Cleaning the Pump Filter (when clogged or every 3 months):

1. Unplug the machine.

2. Open the filter cover.

3. Pull out the emergency draining hose. Place a large container at the end. Pull out the plug at the end of the hose to drain the water. Repeat until the machine is empty.

4. Replace the plug and put the hose back in its place.

5. Turn and remove the pump filter.

6. Clean any residues and fibres from inside the filter and around the pump impeller region.

7. Replace the filter and close the filter cap securely.

If your BEKO WEX84064E0W washing machine does not start or a programme cannot be selected, check the following:

• Cause: Start / Pause / Cancel button is not pressed.

Solution: Press the Start / Pause / Cancel button.

• Cause: Loading door is difficult to close due to excessive loading.

Solution: Reduce the amount of laundry and ensure the loading door is closed properly.

• Cause: The product has switched to self-protection mode due to a supply problem (e.g., line voltage, water pressure).

Solution: To cancel the programme, turn the Programme Selection knob to another programme. The previous programme will be cancelled.

If the product does not take water in:

• Cause: Tap is turned off.

Solution: Turn on the taps.

• Cause: Water inlet hose is bent.

Solution: Flatten the hose.

• Cause: Water inlet filter is clogged.

Solution: Clean the filter.

• Cause: Loading door is not closed.

Solution: Close the door.

If the product does not drain water:

• Cause: Water drain hose is clogged or twisted.

Solution: Clean or flatten the hose.

• Cause: Pump filter is clogged.

Solution: Clean the pump filter.

If your BEKO WEX84064E0W is vibrating or making unusual noises, consider these causes and solutions:

• Cause: The product is standing unbalanced.

Solution: Stabilize the product by adjusting the feet.

• Cause: A hard substance has entered the pump filter.

Solution: Clean the pump filter.

• Cause: Transportation safety bolts are not removed.

Solution: Remove the transportation safety bolts.

• Cause: The laundry quantity is too little.

Solution: Add more laundry to the product.

• Cause: Excessive laundry is loaded, or laundry is unevenly distributed.

Solution: Take out some of the laundry or distribute the load by hand to balance it homogeneously in the product.

• Cause: The product is leaning on a rigid item.

Solution: Make sure that the product is not leaning on anything.

• Cause: The loading door lock is activated because of the water level in the product.

Solution: Drain the water by running the Pump or Spin programme.

• Cause: The product is heating up the water or is in the spinning cycle.

Solution: Wait until the programme completes.

• Cause: The loading door may be stuck because of the pressure it is subjected to.

Solution: Grab the handle and push and pull the loading door to release and open it.

• Cause: There is no power.

Solution: To open the loading door, open the pump filter cap and pull down the emergency handle positioned at the rear side of the said cap.

The washing time can be extended for several reasons to ensure optimal washing results:

• Cause: Water pressure is low.

Solution: The product waits until it takes in an adequate amount of water to prevent poor washing quality, which extends the washing time.

• Cause: Voltage is low.

Solution: Washing time is prolonged to avoid poor washing results when the supply voltage is low.

• Cause: Input temperature of water is low.

Solution: The time required to heat up the water extends in cold seasons.

• Cause: The number of rinses and/or amount of rinse water has increased.

Solution: The product increases the amount of rinse water when good rinsing is needed and adds an extra rinsing step if necessary.

• Cause: Excessive foam has occurred due to too much detergent, activating the automatic foam absorption system.

Solution: Use the recommended amount of detergent.

• Cause: The timer may stop during water intake.

Solution: The timer indicator will not count down until the product takes in an adequate amount of water. It will resume after this.

• Cause: The timer may stop during the heating step.

Solution: The timer indicator will not count down until the product reaches the selected temperature.

• Cause: The timer may stop during the spinning step.

Solution: The automatic unbalanced load detection system has been activated due to uneven distribution of laundry. The timer will not count down until this is resolved.

• Cause: There is an unbalanced load in the product.

Solution: The automatic unbalanced load detection system is activated. The laundry needs to be redistributed.

If laundry turns gray:

• Cause: Insufficient amount of detergent was used over a long period.

Solution: Use the recommended amount of detergent appropriate for water hardness and the laundry.

• Cause: Washing was done at low temperatures for a long time.

Solution: Select the proper temperature for the laundry to be washed.

• Cause: Insufficient detergent is used with hard water.

Solution: Using insufficient detergent with hard water causes soil to stick to the cloth. Use the recommended amount of detergent for the water hardness.

If stains persist or laundry is not whitened:

• Cause: Wrong programme and temperature were selected.

Solution: Select the proper programme and temperature for the laundry.

• Cause: Wrong type of detergent is used.

Solution: Use original detergent appropriate for the product.

If oily stains appeared on the laundry:

• Cause: Regular drum cleaning is not applied.

Solution: Clean the drum regularly. See “Cleaning the loading door and the drum”.

If clothes smell unpleasant:

• Cause: Odours and bacteria layers have formed on the drum from continuous washing at low temperatures/short programmes.

Solution: Leave the detergent drawer and loading door ajar after each wash. Also, perform a Drum Clean regularly.

• Cause: Detergent was put in a wet drawer.

Solution: Dry the detergent drawer before putting in detergent.

• Cause: Detergent has gotten damp.

Solution: Keep detergents closed in an environment free of humidity and do not expose them to excessive temperatures.

• Cause: Water pressure is low.

Solution: Check the water pressure.

• Cause: Holes of the detergent compartment are blocked.

Solution: Check the holes and clean if they are clogged.

• Cause: There is a problem with the detergent drawer valves.

Solution: Call the Authorised Service Agent.

• Cause: Detergent was mixed with the softener.

Solution: Do not mix the softener with detergent. Wash and clean the drawer with hot water.

If too much foam forms inside the product:

• Cause: Improper detergents for the washing machine were used.

Solution: Use detergents appropriate for the washing machine.

• Cause: Excessive amount of detergent was used.

Solution: Use only a sufficient amount of detergent.

• Cause: Detergent was stored under improper conditions.

Solution: Store detergent in a closed and dry location.

• Cause: Some meshed laundry like tulle may foam too much.

Solution: Use smaller amounts of detergent for this type of item.

If foam is overflowing from the detergent drawer:

• Cause: Too much detergent is used.

Solution: Mix 1 tablespoonful of softener and ½ liter of water and pour it into the main wash compartment of the detergent drawer. Put detergent into the product suitable for the programmes and maximum loads indicated. When using additional chemicals (stain removers, bleaches, etc.), reduce the amount of detergent.
