To ensure the anti-tip device is properly installed on your AVANTI G2006CB, follow these steps:

1. Slide the range forward.

2. Look for the anti-tip device and ensure it is securely attached to the floor.

3. Slide the range back into place so that the rear foot is under the anti-tip device.

The AVANTI G2006CB gas range includes the following parts and features:

The cooktop on the AVANTI G2006CB has four burners with the following specifications:

1. Auxiliary burner (AUX) – 3000 BTU/hr

2. Right semi-rapid burner (SR) – 4600 BTU/hr

3. Left semi-rapid burner (SR) – 4600 BTU/hr

4. Rapid burner (R) – 8600 BTU/hr

Note: The electric gas-lighting device is incorporated into the knobs.

Before using your AVANTI G2006CB for the first time, it is advised to follow these instructions:

1. Clean the interior of the oven with a clean cloth soaked in water and neutral detergent, then dry carefully.

2. Furnish the interior of the oven by inserting the shelves and tray.

3. Turn the oven on to the maximum temperature to eliminate any possible traces of grease from the oven burner. The same operation should be followed for the broiler burner.

It is also mandatory to assemble the backsplash, as it serves as the oven vent.

To assemble the backsplash on your AVANTI G2006CB:

a) Screw the two (2) screws “A” in the appropriate holes on each side of the backsplash.

b) Screw the central screw in the middle portion of the backsplash.

Gas flow to the burners is adjusted by turning the control knobs. The indicator line pointing to the symbols on the panel achieves the following:

OFF = Closed valve

☆HI = Maximum rate

LO = Minimum rate

To light a gas burner on your AVANTI G2006CB:

1. Turn the knob counter-clockwise to the ☆HI position (maximum rate). Push in and hold the knob until the flame has been lit. The sparks produced by the lighter will light the flame. If the burner is difficult to light, try again with the knob in the LO position.

2. Adjust the gas valve to the desired position.

To re-light the burner, return the knob to the OFF position and repeat the operation.

CAUTION: If a burner is accidentally extinguished, turn the gas off at the control knob and wait at least 1 minute before attempting to relight.

For optimal performance on your AVANTI G2006CB, use pans with diameters that match the burner size. Do not use pans with concave or convex bases.

Also, make sure that the handles of cookware do not stick out over the edge of the range to avoid them being knocked over by accident. This also makes it more difficult for children to reach the cooking vessels.

To light the oven burner on your AVANTI G2006CB, operate as follows:

1. Open the oven door to its full extent. WARNING: Risk of explosion! The oven door must be open during this operation.

2. Lightly press and turn the thermostat knob counter-clockwise to the max position or 550°F.

3. Press the knob right down to prime the electric ignition. A “Bi, Bi” sound will be heard. Keep the knob pressed until the oven burner is lit. In case of a power cut, press the knob and immediately approach a lighted match to the opening “A”.

Never continue this operation for more than 15 seconds. If the burner has still not ignited, wait for about 1 minute prior to repeating the ignition.

4. For first-time use or after a long period of non-use, wait about 10-15 seconds after the burner lights before releasing the knob (this is the priming time for the valve).

5. Close the oven door slowly and adjust the burner according to the power required. If the flame extinguishes for any reason, the safety valve will automatically shut off the gas supply.

To re-light the burner, first turn the oven control knob to the OFF position, wait for at least 1 minute, and then repeat the lighting procedure.

To light the broil burner on your AVANTI G2006CB, follow these steps:

1. Open the oven door to its full extent. WARNING: Risk of explosion! The oven door must be open during this operation.

2. Lightly press and turn the thermostat knob clockwise to the BROIL position.

3. Press the knob right down to prime the electric ignition. A “Bi, Bi” sound will be heard. Keep the knob pressed until the broil burner is lit. In case of a power cut, press the knob and put a lighted match to the right and left side of the burner.

Never continue this operation for more than 15 seconds. If the burner has still not ignited, wait for about 1 minute before repeating the ignition.

4. For first-time use or after a long period of non-use, wait about 15 seconds after the burner lights before releasing the knob.

5. Close the oven door slowly.

Always broil with the oven door closed. To re-light, turn the control knob to OFF, wait at least 1 minute, and repeat the procedure.

The position BROIL serves only to turn on the broil burner.

Very important: the broil burner must always be used with the oven door closed.

1. Position the shelf on the second level from the top.

2. Turn on the broil burner and let it preheat for about 5 minutes with the door closed.

3. Place the food to be cooked on the broiling pan.

4. Introduce the broiling pan into the oven. The broiling pan should be placed above the shelf and centered under the broil burner.

Never obstruct the oven vent slots on the backsplash and do not broil without using the broiling pan.

Before any cleaning, disconnect the appliance from the electrical supply. It is best to clean when the appliance is cold.

Enameled Parts: Clean with a sponge and soapy water or other non-abrasive products. Dry with a chamois leather. Avoid leaving acidic substances like lemon juice or vinegar on the surfaces for long periods.

Stainless Steel Elements: Rinse with water and dry with a soft, clean cloth or chamois leather. For difficult dirt, use a specific non-abrasive product or a little hot vinegar.

Inside of Oven: Clean regularly. With the oven warm, wipe the inside walls with a cloth soaked in very hot soapy water or another suitable product.

Burners and Grids: These parts can be removed and cleaned with appropriate products. After cleaning, ensure the burners and their flame distributors are well dried and correctly replaced. It is very important that the burner flame spreader “F” and the cap “C” are positioned correctly. For models with electric ignition, keep the electrode clean to ensure sparks always strike.

Oven Shelves: The shelves have a security block. To remove them, pull them out and lift. To insert, follow the reverse order.

The oven door on your AVANTI G2006CB can be removed for easier cleaning as follows:

1. Open the door to its full extent.

2. Attach the retaining rings to the hooks on the left and right hinges.

3. Hold the door firmly.

4. Gently close the door and withdraw the lower hinge pins from their location.

5. Withdraw the upper hinge pins from their location.

6. Rest the door on a soft surface.

To replace the door, repeat these steps in reverse order. The internal glass can also be removed for cleaning by unscrewing the two lateral fixing screws.

The storage drawer on the AVANTI G2006CB comes out like a normal drawer. To remove it for cleaning, open the drawer, pull it out until the stop point, and then lift it up. Never store any flammable material in the drawer.

Before starting, disconnect the appliance from the power supply.

1. Let the oven cavity and broil burner cool down.

2. Switch off the electric supply.

3. Remove the protective cover.

4. Unscrew and replace the bulb with a new one suitable for high temperature (200°F – 550°C) with the specifications: 120V 60Hz, 15W, E14.

5. Replace the protective cover.

The AVANTI G2006CB must be level to operate properly. The four screw-type leveling legs at the bottom corners can be adjusted. Turn them clockwise to make the range higher or counter-clockwise to lower the range until it is level. Use a level on the surface units to check the leveling.

If the surface burners on your AVANTI G2006CB do not light, check the following:

Surface control not fully turned ON: Push in and turn the control to the ON position until the burner ignites, then turn it to the desired flame setting.

Burner ports are clogged: Use a small gauge wire or needle to open the ports.

Burners not positioned properly: Verify that the burners are positioned correctly on the orifice hoods and are sitting flat on the burner support with tabs engaged in slots.

Range not set for appropriate gas input: See the range conversion section of the installation manual.

Power failure (for pilot lights): Light the pilots manually.

Range power cord disconnected: Be sure the power cord is plugged into a grounded outlet.

If the flame on your AVANTI G2006CB burns only halfway around, it could be due to clogged burner ports or moisture after cleaning.

Clogged burner ports: Use a small gauge wire or needle to open the ports.

Moisture is present after cleaning: Lightly fan the flame and allow the burner to operate until the flame is full. Alternatively, dry the burners thoroughly following the instructions in the “Cleaning” section of the PDF.

An orange flame on your AVANTI G2006CB can be caused by dust particles in the main line or an incorrect gas input setting.

Dust particles in main line: Allow the burner to operate for a few minutes until the flame turns blue.

Range not set for appropriate gas input: See the range conversion section of the installation manual.

If the oven light isn’t working, the bulb may be burned out or loose. Tighten or replace the oven light bulb.

If your AVANTI G2006CB oven or broiler does not heat, consider these possible causes:

Temperature control not set properly: Make sure the temperature control is set at the desired temperature.

Pilot light won’t light due to power failure: Light the pilots manually.

House fuse blown or circuit breaker tripped: Check/reset the circuit breaker and/or replace the fuse. Do not increase fuse capacity. If the problem is a circuit overload, have it corrected by a qualified electrician.

Range cord is disconnected from outlet: Be sure the power cord is plugged into a grounded outlet.

If the oven temperature is inaccurate, check the following:

Oven capillary bulb not positioned properly: Verify that the capillary bulb is snapped in clips straight and not touching the sides or coated with oven cleaner or food.

Temperature control not set properly: Make sure the temperature control knob is set at the desired temperature.

Improper use of foil: Keep foil clear of holes in the oven bottom and off of the oven sides.

Yes, smoke or an odor during the initial oven operation is normal. However, if the issue persists, check if the vent on the backsplash is blocked or if the range is not set for the appropriate gas input.

If your range is not level, it could be due to poor installation, an unstable floor, or cabinet misalignment.

Poor installation: Place an oven rack in the center of the oven and place a level on the rack. Adjust the leveling legs accordingly.

Weak or unstable floor: Be sure the floor is level and can adequately support the range. Contact a carpenter to correct a sagging or sloping floor.

Kitchen cabinet misalignment: Be sure cabinets are square and have sufficient room for range clearance. Contact a cabinet maker to correct the problem.

Excessive smoke from the oven is usually caused by the meat being too close to the broiler burner or not being prepared properly.

Meat too close to broiler burner: Reposition the broiler pan to provide more clearance between the meat and the broiler burner.

Meat not prepared properly: Remove excess fat from the meat before cooking.
