To control the internal temperature, adjust the temperature control according to the ambient temperature or purpose of use. The temperature control is located on the upper right-hand side of the compartment. The first time you turn the unit on, set the temperature control to “6”. The range of the temperature control is from position "OFF” to “6”. After 24 hours, adjust the temperature control to the setting that best suits your needs. The setting of “4” should be appropriate for home or office use.


How do you turn the unit off?

Turn the temperature control to "OFF”.


Does turning the temperature control to “OFF” position shut off the power to the appliance?

No. Turning the temperature control to “OFF” position stops the cooling cycle but does not shut off the power to the appliance.

  • Wash the outside cabinet with warm water and mild liquid detergent. Rinse well and wipe dry with a clean soft cloth.

During this period Avanti Products will provide all parts and labor necessary to correct such defects free of charge, so long as the unit has been installed and operated in accordance with the written instructions in this manual.

In rental or commercial use, the warranty period is 90 days.


What is covered under the limited second through the fifth-year warranty?

For the second through the fifth year from the date of original purchase, Avanti Products will provide a replacement compressor free of charge due to a failure. You are responsible for the service labor and freight charges.

In rental or commercial use, the limited compressor warranty is one year and nine months.


Who is responsible for the cost to move the appliance to the servicers’ shop and back to the user’s home?

  • Content losses of food or other, due to spoilage.

  • Parts and labor costs for the following will not be considered as warranty:

  • Repairs performed by unauthorized servicers.

  • Service calls that are related to external problems, such as abuse, misuse, inadequate electrical power, accidents, fire, floods, or acts of God.

What are the installation instructions?

  1. Remove the packing accessories (protective plastics, cardboard, and sticky strips).
  2. Clean the exterior with a soft dry cloth and the interior with a damp warm cloth.
  3. Select a location with a firm and level floor.
  4. Your refrigerator requires ventilation. Leave a minimum space of 5” upwards and sufficient space on the back to allow air circulation.
  5. Avoid direct sunlight or heat. Direct sunlight can affect the paint layer. Heat sources in its proximity will cause higher electricity consumption.
  6. For better performance, level the refrigerator using the adjustable legs or leveling screws.

What are the grounding instructions?

This appliance must be grounded. In the event of an electrical short circuit, grounding reduces the risk of electric shock by providing an escape wire for the electric current. This appliance is equipped with a cord that has a grounding wire with a grounding plug. This plug must be connected to a properly installed and grounded outlet.


What could happen with improper use of the grounding plug?

Improper use of the grounding plug can result in a risk of electric shock. Consult an electrician if you do not fully understand the grounding instructions or if there is any doubt as to whether the appliance is properly grounded.

The range of the temperature control ranges from the “OFF” (no cooling) position to position “6” (maximum cooling). After 24 hours, adjust the temperature control to the position that best meets your needs. Position “4” is appropriate for using the refrigerator at home or in the office.


What should you do if the unit has been disconnected, has no power, or was turned off?

You must wait 3 to 5 minutes before turning it on again. If you want to turn it on before time the unit will not do so.


What happens if the temperature control is set to the “OFF” position?

If the temperature control is set to the “OFF” position, the unit will stop cooling, but it will not cut off the power to the refrigerator.


How do you use the door lock?

Your unit comes equipped with a lock and key combination. The keys are inside the plastic bag with the instruction manual. Insert the key into the lock and turn it to the left to open the door. To close it, turn the key to the right. Remove the key and place it in a safe place to prevent it from being lost.


What care should be taken during periods of absence?

  • For short periods of absence (less than 21 days), the freezer may be left running. Place the temperature control knob in the minimum position.
  • For longer periods of absence, it is advisable to leave the refrigerator clean and unplugged.
  • Take everything out of the refrigerator and defrost and clean it thoroughly. Also remove the ice trays, clean them well and dry them internally.
  • Leave the door ajar to allow air to enter and thus prevent the formation of odors.

What are some energy saving tips?

  • Avoid leaving the door open for a long time.
  • Avoid frequent opening of the door.
  • Never place hot food inside the refrigerator. Wait until they are at room temperature.
  • Place the temperature control knob in the appropriate position.

What should you do if you are going on vacation?

  • Take all items out of the refrigerator-freezer if you are going on vacation for a month or more.
  • Unplug the refrigerator and clean the refrigerator well, including the freezer tray.
  • Leave the door open to prevent odors, condensation or mold.
