The code hopping transmitters change their signal every time the button is pressed, preventing thieves from using code grabbers. If the transmitter button is pressed more than fifty times while out of range of the vehicle, it may need to be re-aligned to the receiver. To do this, press the lock button two times within a one-second time period. The system will then respond to that transmitter each time a button is pressed.

To arm the system actively:

1. Turn off the engine, exit the vehicle, and close all doors, hood lid, and trunk lid.

2. Press and release the Lock button on the keychain transmitter.

The dash-mounted LED will begin to flash slowly, parking lights will flash one time, and the siren will sound one chirp.

If the siren or horn sounds 3 chirps during arming, you have left a door, trunk, or hood lid ajar. Close the opened entry point to provide full protection. If the siren chirps three times sometime after arming, the delayed dome light learn circuit may have detected an open entry point after the learned delay expired. Closing the hood, trunk, or doors will correct the problem without needing to disarm the system.

To silently arm the system:

1. Turn off the engine, exit the vehicle, and close all doors, hood lid, and trunk lid.

2. Press and hold the lock button on the keychain transmitter for 2 seconds.

The dash-mounted LED will begin to flash slowly and parking lights will flash one time, but the siren will not sound.

To use passive (automatic) arming:

1. Turn off the engine, exit the vehicle, and close and lock all doors, hood lid, and trunk lid.

2. The dash-mounted LED will begin to flash rapidly, indicating the 30-second passive arming cycle has begun.

3. At the end of the passive arming cycle, the dash-mounted LED will flash slowly, parking lights will flash one time, and the siren will sound one chirp.

Opening any protected entry point during the 30-second cycle will suspend automatic arming, and the cycle will restart when all doors are closed.

To disarm the system:

1. As you approach the vehicle, press and release the Unlock button on the keychain transmitter.

The dash-mounted LED will turn off. The parking lights will flash two times. The siren will sound two chirps.

To silently disarm the system:

1. As you approach the vehicle, press and hold the Unlock button on the keychain transmitter for 2 seconds.

The dash-mounted LED will turn off and the parking lights will flash two times. The siren will not sound.

If an intrusion attempt occurred, the siren will chirp 4 times and parking lights will flash 3 times when disarming. Observe the dash-mounted LED to identify the zone:

1 Flash…Pause: Shock sensor or accessory triggering device.

2 Flashes…Pause: Hood or trunk pin switch, or light-activated entry point.

3 Flashes…Pause: Vehicle doors.

If the system is triggered, press and release any transmitter button other than the disarm button. This will turn off the siren but leave the vehicle fully armed and protected.

The valet switch temporarily bypasses alarm functions. To enter Valet Mode:

1. Disarm the system.

2. Turn the ignition key to the on position.

3. Press and hold the valet pushbutton switch until the dash-mounted LED turns on solid.

To return to normal operation, press and release the pushbutton switch any time the ignition is on.

If the transmitter is lost or inoperative and the system is set to Valet Switch manual override:

1. Open the vehicle door. The alarm will sound.

2. Turn the ignition key to the on position.

3. Within 5 seconds, press and release the valet push button switch.

The alarm will stop sounding and enter disarmed mode.

To change the default override code (11) to a custom code:

1. Disarm the system and turn the ignition switch to the on position.

2. Within 10 seconds, press and release the valet/override switch 3 times.

3. Within 10 seconds, turn the ignition switch off, on, off, on, off, on. (Siren/horn beeps and lights flash once).

4. Within 10 seconds, enter the chosen 10ths digit by pressing the pushbutton switch from 1 to 9 times.

5. Within 10 seconds of the last press, turn the ignition switch off then on.

6. Within 10 seconds, enter the chosen units digit by pressing the pushbutton switch from 1 to 9 times.

7. Turn the ignition switch to the off position.

The unit will report the new code by flashing the LED to indicate the digits entered.

Assuming the default code of 11 is in memory:

1. Enter the vehicle and turn the ignition switch to the on position. The siren will sound.

2. Within 5 seconds, press and release the pushbutton switch 1 time.

3. Within 5 seconds, turn the ignition switch off then on.

4. Within 5 seconds, press and release the pushbutton switch 1 time.

5. Turn the ignition switch off then on and start the vehicle.

If a different code has been programmed, substitute the tenths digit for step 2 and the units digit for step 4.

To turn off chirps permanently:

1. Turn the ignition key on then off.

2. Within 10 seconds, press and release the valet push button switch three times.

3. If chirps were on, you will hear 2 chirps indicating they are off. If they were off, you will hear 1 chirp indicating they are on.

Note: Warning chirps for intrusion or defective zones cannot be eliminated.

To use remote panic:

1. Press and hold the ARM or DISARM button on the keychain transmitter for 3 or more seconds. The alarm will sound.

2. To stop the alarm, press and hold the ARM or DISARM button again for 3 seconds. If not pressed, it stops automatically after 30 seconds.

Any other button press during panic mode will stop the panic mode immediately. The starter inhibit device will be disabled once the unlock/disarm button is pressed.

Channel 3: Press and hold the programmed button for four seconds, or press and release the button two times in succession.

Channel 4: Press the programmed button for up to 8 seconds for continuous output, or press and release for momentary activation.
