1. Before beginning installation, carefully read and follow these instructions to ensure the safety of your home and its occupants.

2. This manual is intended for qualified installers and certified service technicians. Installation and electrical wiring must be performed by licensed professionals in compliance with all applicable codes and standards.

3. Do not attempt to install this appliance yourself. Lack of appropriate electrical and technical knowledge may result in injury during installation.

4. The installer must provide these instructions to the consumer, who should retain them for local inspector’s use and future reference.

5. Two-person installation is strongly recommended.

6. Handle the range hood, chimney cover, baffle filters, and all parts or accessories with care. Sharp edges may cause injury – wearing gloves during installation is highly advised.

7. The manufacturer shall not be liable for any property damage or personal injury caused by improper installation, misuse of the appliance, or failure to comply with these warnings.

8. This appliance is designed solely for general ventilation purposes. Do not use it to exhaust hazardous or explosive materials and vapors.

9. Adequate airflow is required for proper combustion and effective exhausting of gases through fuel-burning equipment flues (chimneys) to prevent backdrafting. Follow all heating equipment manufacturer’s guidelines and safety standards, including those published by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), and local code authorities.

10. Range hood installations must include sufficient ducting airflow to ensure proper gas exhaustion and prevent backdrafting.

11. Always disconnect power to the range hood before servicing or cleaning to eliminate electrical shock risks.

You will need the following tools for installation:

• Electric drill

• Electric Screwdriver

• Hammer

• Phillips screwdriver

• Level

• Safety gloves

• Aluminum Tape

• Pencil

• Needle nose pliers

• Utility knife

• Measuring tape

1. Please read the installation instructions carefully.

2. The ANLICHO RHC130S-30 range hood can be vented through the top or back.

3. For optimal performance, the range hood must be installed 24 inches to 36 inches in height from the cooktop.

4. Electrical Requirements: The rated voltage and frequency are 110-120V, 60Hz. The motor input power is 100W.

WARNING: Sufficient air is needed for proper combustion and exhausting of gases through the chimney of fuel burning equipment to prevent backdrafting. Follow the cooking equipment manufacturer’s guidelines and safety standards such as those published by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), and local codes. When cutting or drilling into a wall or ceiling, do not damage electrical wiring and other hidden utilities. Ducted systems must always be vented outdoors.

The ANLICHO RHC130S-30 range hood is factory set for venting through the roof or wall. Duct work can terminate either through the roof or back.

IMPORTANT:

• Never exhaust air or terminate ductwork into spaces between walls, crawl spaces, ceilings, attics, or garages. All exhaust must be vented to the outside.

• Use metal or aluminum ductwork only.

• Fasten all connections with sheet metal screws and seal all joints with certified aluminum foil tape.

• Seal the exterior wall or roof opening around the cap with caulk.

• In colder climates, wrap insulation around the ducts; blowers are optional.

• The system must have a backdraft damper.

Check Valve Installation and Plugs:

Hold the check valve with your hands, align the box gap, insert the check valve, and then rotate to a certain angle until the three tabs of the valve are locked. Installation is complete.

Choose Vent Option:

Choose top roof vent or back vent according to the ceiling height.

Installing the Round Duct Connector:

Align the mounting holes on the range hood, then rotate the round duct connector counterclockwise until it locks into position. The flapper should be installed using the same method.

WARNING: Confirm proper installation location before proceeding.

1. Ensure you have 0.78″ space from the wall to your cut-out to accommodate the size connector for ducting. Cut out a hole on the top panel of the cabinet and in the ceiling for the 4.7″ exhaust duct.

2. Follow the paper position template to punch holes. Mark the locations of the pre-drilled holes. Use a hammer to knock the wall anchor into the wall hole.

3. Lift and insert the range hood underneath the cabinet. Ensure the wiring passes through the opening created below the cabinet.

4. From the bottom of the hood, carefully insert the mounting screws into each of the pre-drilled mounting holes in the range hood. Secure the screws with an electrical drill.

1. Ensure you have 0.78″ space from the wall to your cut-out to accommodate the size connector for ducting.

2. Follow the paper position template to punch holes. Mark the locations of the pre-drilled holes. Use a hammer to knock the wall anchor into the wall hole.

3. Lift and insert the range hood underneath the cabinet. Ensure the wiring passes through the opening created below the cabinet.

4. From the bottom of the hood, carefully insert the mounting screws into each of the pre-drilled mounting holes in the range hood. Secure the screws with an electrical drill.

The ANLICHO RHC130S-30 hood is capable of ventless (recirculation) operation. To use this mode, install the charcoal/carbon filter as shown below. Skip this step if you are installing a ducted range hood. Charcoal filters are only included with ductless models.

CAUTION: The range hood may have sharp edges. Wear protective gloves when removing parts for installation, cleaning, or servicing.

1. Remove the aluminum filters.

2. The charcoal filter is installed at the end of the motor. Align the upper and lower holes, then twist the carbon filter counterclockwise to lock it into place. To replace the carbon filter, reverse the process and repeat.

NOTE: The carbon filter cannot be washed and reused and must be replaced every 4-6 months, depending on use.

WARNING: If installed in ductless (recirculation) mode, the noise level may be higher and airflow may be reduced.

1. Angle the filter and direct the tab inserts toward the aft slot of the range hood opening.

2. While continuing to install the filter, lift the push lever for the retractable tabs to clear the way for flush insertion.

3. When the filter sits flush within the opening, release the lever to lock it in place.

The ANLICHO RHC130S-30 features a 3-speed mechanical control panel with five buttons.

Note: For best results, turn the fan on prior to any preparation or cooking and keep fans running while cooking, adjusting the speed as needed.

Button Controls:

• Power Control (On/Off – Button 1): Turns the range hood ON/OFF. To turn the hood off, press the button once while it is on.

• Low fan speed (Button 2): Sets the fan to low speed.

• Medium fan speed (Button 3): Sets the fan to medium speed.

• High fan speed (Button 4): Sets the fan to high speed.

• Light Control (Button 5): Press the light button to turn the lights ON/OFF.

Speed Control: Press the speed buttons (2, 3, 4) to increase/decrease the fan speed level.

WARNING: Failure to maintain basic standards of care and cleaning of the range hood will increase the risk of fire.

The range hood should be cleaned regularly (internally and externally) to preserve its appearance and performance.

General Cleaning – Do:

• Always clean in the direction of the grain (original polish lines).

• Clean the range hood periodically with hot, soapy water and a clean cotton cloth.

• Rinse thoroughly with clean water 2-3 times after cleaning. Wipe completely dry with a soft, non-abrasive cloth.

• After cleaning, you may polish with a non-abrasive stainless steel polish or cleaner. Always rub lightly and with the grain.

• Ensure the venting system is free of debris (if applicable).

General Cleaning – Do Not:

• Do not use corrosive or abrasive detergents, steel wool, or scouring pads, as they will scratch and damage the stainless steel surface.

• Do not use any products containing chloride, fluoride, iodide, or bromide, as they will rapidly deteriorate the surface.

• Do not allow cleaning compounds, salt solutions, disinfectants, or bleaches to remain in contact with the product for extended periods.

• Do not allow deposits to remain on the range hood for long periods. Rinse immediately with water and wipe dry with a clean cloth.

• Do not let plaster dust or other construction residues enter the hood. During construction or renovation, cover the hood for protection.

• Avoid using combustible cleaning products (e.g., acetone, alcohol, ether, or benzol) near the range or stove, as they are highly explosive.

Filter Cleaning – Do:

• Clean the cassette (aluminum) filter once a month using non-abrasive detergents, either by hand or in the dishwasher. When using a dishwasher, set it to a low temperature and a short cycle. The filter may become discolored in the dishwasher, but this will not affect its performance.

• Allow the filters to dry completely before reinstalling them in the range hood.

Filter Cleaning – Do Not:

• Do not allow oil to accumulate on more than 80% of the filter surface, as excess oil may drip onto the range.

• Do not wash the charcoal filter. Replace it when saturated with grease or when it reaches maximum absorbency.

CAUTION: Always unplug the unit from power before servicing.

If your range hood is noisy, check for any loose debris inside the range hood and remove it. A Phillips screwdriver may be needed.

CAUTION: Always unplug the unit from power before servicing.

If your range hood has poor performance, check the following possible causes:

A. The range hood and cooktop are too far away from each other. The optimal distance is 24″ to 36″.

B. There are too many open windows or doors in the area. Close some doors or windows.

C. The motor performance has decreased due to wear. Replace the motor.

D. Check and make sure the tape holding down the damper flaps at the vent hole was removed before use.

CAUTION: Always unplug the unit from power before servicing.

If your range hood shakes, check the following possible causes:

A. The installation is not secure. Check again and make sure the installation hardware is securely mounted.

B. The fan is broken or not balanced. Realign or replace the fan.

C. The motor is loose. Check and make sure the motor is solidly mounted to the unit.

CAUTION: Always unplug the unit from power before servicing.

If the motor no longer runs, you may need to:

A. Replace the control panel or circuit board.

B. Replace it with a new motor assembly.
