You must follow these important safety instructions and warnings when using the AKYGA AK-SC-E20 adapter:

• Read the operation manual before using the CCS2 Converter Adapter. Failure to follow instructions can result in fire, electrical shock, serious injury, or death.

• The adapter is designed only for charging corresponding vehicles. Do not use it for any other purpose or with any other vehicle or object. It is intended only for vehicles that do not require ventilation during charging.

• Do not use the adapter if it is defective, appears cracked, frayed, broken, otherwise damaged, or fails to operate.

• Do not attempt to open, disassemble, repair, tamper with, or modify the CCS2 Converter Adapter. The adapter is not user-serviceable. Contact the reseller for any repairs.

• Do not disconnect the adapter while the vehicle is charging.

• Do not use the adapter in extreme weather.

• Handle the adapter with care. Do not subject it to strong force, impact, or pull, twist, tangle, drag, or step on it.

• Protect the adapter from moisture, water, and foreign objects at all times. If it appears damaged or corroded, do not use it.

• Do not touch the adapter’s end terminals with sharp metallic objects like wire, tools, or needles.

• If it rains during charging, do not allow rainwater to run along the length of the cable and wet the adapter or the vehicle’s charging port.

• Do not damage the adapter with sharp objects or insert foreign objects into any part of it.

• Ensure the charging station’s cable and the adapter do not obstruct pedestrians or other vehicles.

• Use of the adapter may affect or impair the operation of medical or implantable electronic devices. Check with the electronic device manufacturer concerning the effects that charging may have before using the adapter.

• Do not use cleaning solvents to clean the adapter.

If the COMBO 2 charging station’s charge cable is submerged in water or covered in snow, do not insert the AKYGA AK-SC-E20 adapter’s plug. If, in this situation, the adapter’s plug is already plugged in and needs to be unplugged, you must stop the charging session first, and then you can unplug the adapter’s plug.

CAUTION: Do not operate or store the AKYGA AK-SC-E20 adapter in temperatures outside the ranges listed above. Full current may not be available when operating at extreme temperatures.

The charging time depends on the available voltage and current of the CCS2 charging station. It can also be affected by various other factors, particularly the temperature of the vehicle’s battery. If the battery temperature is too high or too low, it may limit the charging current or even prevent charging from starting. The vehicle will need to heat or cool its power battery before it is allowed to charge. For detailed information on charging performance parameters, refer to the official documentation of your vehicle.

Follow these steps to charge your vehicle using the AKYGA AK-SC-E20 adapter:

1. Insert the adapter into the car first, and then insert the CCS plug into the adapter.

2. Follow the instructions on the charger station to start the charging session.

3. Press and hold the power button of the adapter for 3-5 seconds until the light flashes.

4. When charging is finished or if you want to stop charging, single-press any of the aluminum alloy stop buttons on the left and right sides to stop charging.

5. After charging is completed, first unplug the CCS plug from the adapter, and then unplug the adapter from the car.

Note: If the adapter is not used for a long time (about two months), the built-in battery will lose power. Please charge the built-in battery for at least 10 hours before using. The battery is charged via a 5V USB Type-C port.

When charging is complete:

1. Press and hold the CCS side stop button of the adapter, then pull the charger port from the adapter.

2. Press and hold the vehicle side (labeled CHAdeMO in the manual, likely a typo for GBT) stop button of the adapter, then pull the adapter from the vehicle’s DC Charger port.

To upgrade the software on the adapter, follow these steps:

a) Ensure the USB flash drive is empty and copy the upgrade software to the U Disk. The upgrade software file name must be exactly `My407ccs2gbt.bin`. If your file has a suffix like `(1)`, you must rename the file to remove it.

b) Plug the U Disk into the upgrade cable, and then plug the upgrade cable into the TYPE C port on the bottom of the adapter.

c) Plug the Type A (large head) of the power cable into a mobile phone charger, power bank, or the USB port of a computer.

d) Plug the Micro USB (small head) of the power cord into the upgrade cable to power the upgrade. During the process, the light on the U Disk will flash several times and then turn off. After the light turns off, wait 3-5 seconds and unplug the upgrade cable from the adapter. The upgrade is complete.

1. Open the Serial Port Debug tool folder provided with the adapter files and double-click `sscom5.13.1` to open the serial port debugging software.

2. Insert the type C (small head) of the USB serial port debugging cable into the adapter, and insert the type A (big head) of the cable into your laptop.

3. In the software, set the baud rate to 115200. For ComNum, choose COM(X) USB-SERIAL CH340. Tick the “English” checkbox. If “USB-SERIAL CH340” is not in the list, you need to install the driver. The driver can be found in the U disk files under `Debug Cable Serial DLL setup\CH341SER\SETUP`.

4. Click “OpenCom” in the software. Then, use the adapter to charge your car as normal. The serial port tool will output debugging information while the adapter is working. After the test is completed, click “Save data”. The debugging information will be automatically saved as a TXT file to the folder where the debugging tool is located.

5. Please send the saved TXT log file to your reseller for analysis. Do not send the DAT file.

When the adapter is connected to the car and charge gun, and after pressing and holding the power on button, if the LED flashes and then shuts off again, please check if one of the stop buttons was pressed. Please take the adapter out and plug it in again to ensure the stop button is released.

If charging fails on the charger station, please charge your adapter’s internal battery or get the log files from the adapter and send the log files to your reseller for assistance.
