How do I prepare the wall for installing the AIRFLOW MAXAIR 7008A exhaust fan?
1. Check that the proposed location for the fan will not foul joists, existing wiring, or other internal wall features. The wall thickness must be between 110mm and 310mm.
2. Use the provided template to mark out the hole position.
3. Cut a hole through the wall with a diameter of 180mm (Ø180mm).
4. Screw the fan assembly to the wall via the four corner openings. Note that appropriate fasteners must be used for each installation and are not provided.
How do I make the electrical connections for the AIRFLOW MAXAIR 7008A?
An electrician must make the electrical connection. The steps are as follows:
1. Remove the termination cover by undoing the screws marked with 1, 2, and 3. These screws retain the terminal cover to the chassis.
2. Make the electrical connection as shown in the 7008A Connection Diagram, using three-core, 1mm² cable.
3. Once wiring is complete, replace the termination cover.
What are the steps to complete the installation of the AIRFLOW MAXAIR 7008A after mounting it to the internal wall?
1. With the fan assembly mounted on the internal wall, cut the PVC sheet to suit the depth of the wall.
2. Coil the cut PVC sheet around the wall grille outlet spigot and slide it into the retaining clips. Optional sticky tape can be used to secure it.
3. Screw the wall grille outlet to the external wall. Note that appropriate fasteners for your wall type must be used and are not provided.
4. Place the cover assembly onto the fan assembly as shown in the instructions. Tighten the retaining screw.
5. Test the fan. It is now ready to go.
