Press the front panel TUNE SEL knob or press SEL on the remote control to access the Equalizer Control Menu.
Use the right/left cursor buttons under “EQ SETTING” to select one of eleven preset modes: User, Flat, Jazz, Pop, Classical, Rock, News, Urban, Rave, Movie, Techno.
When “EQ SETTING” is set to USER, you can adjust Bass, Treble, Balance, Fade, and Subwoofer levels.
Select the feature (e.g., BASS) using the TUNE SEL knob or remote buttons.
Press and hold the left/right cursor buttons next to the feature name to adjust its value (shown numerically).
Bass and Treble levels cannot be changed when a preset sound (Flat, Jazz, etc.) is selected.
Press the TUNE SEL Knob to exit the equalizer menu screen.
How do I set the clock?
1. Access the Main Menu (press MENU button on unit or remote).
2. Press the SETUP icon.
3. In the SETUP menu, press the CLOCK icon.
4. In the CLOCK submenu, press the SET TIME icon.
5. A keyboard will appear. Enter the time in HH:MM format.
6. Press the AM or PM icon.
7. Press OK.
8. Optionally, press the 12/24 HOUR FORMAT icon and select the desired format.
What do the Main Menu icons do?
AM/FM: Access AM/FM TUNER mode.
CD/DVD: Access CD/DVD mode (Disc must be inserted).
SD CARD: Access SD Card contents (SD card must be inserted).
USB: Access USB thumb drive contents (USB drive must be connected).
BLUETOOTH: Access the Bluetooth menu.
CAMERA: Access signal from an external camera.
REAR: Display DVD video on rear monitors (if equipped).
SETUP: Access the unit’s setup menu (General, Video, Audio, etc.).
AV 2: Access the AV2 audio/video input (iPod, USB, 3.5mm jack via interface module). Icon changes to iPod if connected.
AV 1: Access the AUX INPUT mode (front panel 3.5mm jack).
NAV: Access the navigation mode.
SAT: Access the satellite radio function (Icon shows XM or SIRIUS logo depending on service).

How do I pair my wireless phone TO the unit? (Phone Initiates Pairing)
Note: Procedures may vary slightly by phone manufacturer.
1. On your phone, select the Bluetooth setup option.
2. Turn Bluetooth ON and set your phone’s discover mode to ON (may have a time limit).
3. Use your phone’s “add new device” feature. The unit (e.g., “Advent”) should appear.
4. Select the unit on your phone. If prompted for a passkey or pairing code on the phone, enter “1234”. (The unit’s default code is 1234. Some phones default to “0000”. Ensure the unit’s pairing code setting matches if needed).
5. A prompt to pair/bond should appear on your phone. Accept the request.
6. A prompt asking to connect to the unit (Yes/No) may appear. Select Yes.
7. Pairing should be successful. The Bluetooth main menu appearing on the unit’s screen confirms pairing.
How do I pair the unit TO my wireless phone? (Unit Initiates Pairing)
1. Press the front panel MENU button, then the BLUETOOTH icon.
2. On your phone, enable Bluetooth and set it to discoverable mode.
3. On the unit’s Bluetooth main menu, press the DEVICES icon.
4. On the DEVICES screen, press the ADD icon. The unit will start searching.
5. When your phone name appears under “Device Found”, select it and press the CONNECT icon.
6. A keypad may appear on the unit. Enter the PIN/Passkey for your phone (often “0000” or check phone manual) and press OK.
7. Your phone should display a prompt like “Pairing request from [Unit Name]… Accept? Yes/No”. Select Yes.
8. Your phone may then prompt you to enter the unit’s PIN/Passkey. Enter “1234” and confirm (ENTER, OK, etc.).
9. A “Connecting…” message appears on the unit, followed by “[Phone Name] Connected!”. Press Close.
10. The Bluetooth main menu reappears, confirming the pairing.
11. If pairing fails (e.g., “PIN code error”), a message appears. Press RETRY and repeat steps 7-9.

Playback Controls:
SCAN: Plays the first 10 seconds of each track.
►/|| (Play/Pause): Start or pause playback.
Shuffle Icon: Plays tracks in random order.
Previous Icon: Go to the previous item/track.
Repeat Icon (Sכ): Press once to repeat current song. Press again (Aכ) to repeat all in the current directory/list. Press again to turn off repeat.

2. Turn on the source component.
3. Press the unit’s MENU button and select AV1.
4. Use the source device’s controls for playback.

How do I use the AV2 Auxiliary Audio/Video Input?

4. A list of channels appears. Channels with a lock icon (🔒) are blocked and not accessible.
5. To lock a channel, press the channel name/icon. The lock icon will appear.
6. To unlock a channel, press the channel name/icon with the lock. The lock will open/disappear, making the channel accessible.
How do I change the SIRIUS Parental Control password?
1. Go to Menu > Settings > Parental Control.
2. Press Edit Password.
3. Enter the current password (default is 0000) and press OK.
4. Enter the new four-digit password you want to use and press OK.
5. Enter the new four-digit password again to confirm and press OK.
6. The password is now changed.
