When you play a DVD encoded in anamorphic or 16:9 aspect ratio, you may need to adjust settings:
• If you play a 4:3 format DVD title, please change the format to 4:3 in the projector OSD.
• If the image is still stretched, you will also need to adjust the aspect ratio on your DVD player itself. Set up the display format to 16:9 (wide) aspect ratio on your DVD player.

How do I clean the dust filter on my ACER X1220H?
Clean the dust filter after every 1000 hours of use to prevent overheating. Follow these steps:
1. Turn the projector off and unplug the power cord.
2. Pull the dust filter out.
3. To clean the dust filter, use a small vacuum cleaner designed for computers and other office equipment. It can also be cleaned with water.
4. If the dirt is difficult to remove or the filter is broken, contact your local dealer or service center to obtain a new filter.
5. To put the dust filter back, reverse the previous steps.
How do I replace the lamp on my ACER X1220H?
When you see the message “Lamp is approaching the end of its useful life…”, change the lamp as soon as possible. Warning: The lamp compartment is hot! Allow it to cool down for at least 45 minutes before changing the lamp.
1. Turn off the projector by pressing the Power button.
2. Allow the projector at least 45 minutes to cool down.
3. Disconnect the power cord.
4. Use a screwdriver to remove the screws on the two sides of the lamp cover.
5. Push up and remove the cover.
6. Remove the two screws that secure the lamp module and pull up the lamp bar.
7. Pull out the lamp module.
To install the new lamp module, reverse the previous steps. After replacement, remember to go to the Management menu and use the “Lamp Hour Reset” function.
How do I install the ACER X1220H using a ceiling mount?
If you wish to install the projector using a ceiling mount, please refer to these steps. Note: Screws for mounting the base to the ceiling are not included.
1. Drill four holes into a solid, structurally sound part of the ceiling and secure the mount base.
2. Secure the ceiling rod to the mount base using the appropriate type of four-cylinder screws.
3. Use the appropriate number of screws (M4 x 8 mm) and washers to attach the projector to the ceiling mount bracket. It is recommended to keep a reasonable space between the bracket and the projector for heat distribution.
4. Attach the ceiling bracket (with the projector) to the ceiling rod.
5. Adjust the angle and positioning as necessary and tighten the screws to secure it.
Remember to set the Projection mode to “Ceiling” in the OSD Image menu.
