To activate the warranty for your A-DESIGNS VENTURA, please fill out and mail the Warranty Card to A-Designs Audio, Inc.

The warranty for your A-DESIGNS VENTURA is void if:

1. The product has been opened by unauthorized personnel.

2. The product serial numbers have been removed or tampered with.

3. The product has been damaged by misuse or abuse.

4. The product has been modified and/or repaired by unauthorized personnel.

A-Designs Audio, Inc. warrants the A-DESIGNS VENTURA hardware to conform substantially to the specifications contained in this manual for a period of one year from the date of purchase, provided it is purchased from A-Designs or its authorized dealers.

For warranty service on your A-DESIGNS VENTURA, contact A-Designs Audio, Inc. to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. After obtaining the RMA number, ship the defective product to A-Designs Audio, Inc. Be sure to write the RMA number on the outside of the shipping box and include your name, address, phone number, a copy of the original sales invoice, and a detailed description of the problem.

The technical specifications for the A-DESIGNS VENTURA are:

The “Gain Control Pot” on the front panel of the A-DESIGNS VENTURA adjusts the level of the Instrument Input Preamplifier.

The “Instrument Input Jack” on the front panel of the A-DESIGNS VENTURA is a 1/4″ unbalanced phone jack used with high impedance Instruments like guitars and synthesizers.

The “Input Select Switch” on the front panel of the A-DESIGNS VENTURA determines which input is sent through the system, either Mic or Instrument.

To activate the three-band equalizer section on the A-DESIGNS VENTURA, use the “EQ Switch”.

The “High Pass Filter Switch” on the A-DESIGNS VENTURA provides a 150 Hz low roll-off with a 12db, 2nd order slope when in the up position. It operates independently of the Equalizer.

The “Low Pass Filter Switch” on the A-DESIGNS VENTURA provides a 9K Hz high roll-off with a 12db, 2nd order slope when in the up position. It operates independently of the Equalizer.

The “Low Band Concentric Switch” on the A-DESIGNS VENTURA features a Black Inner Knob for cut/boost gain control and a Red Outer Knob to select the frequency affected. When the Red Outer Knob is in the up position, it changes the Low Band from a peak to a shelf type and also defeats the Low Q Switch.

The “Mid Band Concentric Switch” on the A-DESIGNS VENTURA features a Black Inner Knob for cut/boost gain control and a Red Outer Knob to select the frequency affected.

The “High Band Shelf Switch” on the A-DESIGNS VENTURA, when in the up position, changes the High Band from a peak to a shelf type and also defeats the High Q Switch.

The “High Band Concentric Switch” on the A-DESIGNS VENTURA features a Black Inner Knob for cut/boost gain control and a Red Outer Knob to select the frequency affected.

To engage phantom power on the A-DESIGNS VENTURA, move the “Phantom Power Switch” to the up position. This applies +48Vdc to pins 2 and 3 of the Microphone Input Jack, and the Red LED will light when Phantom Power is active.

To use the “Pad Switch” on the A-DESIGNS VENTURA, move it to the up position. This applies a -20db attenuation to the Mic Input signal.

The “Phase Reverse Switch” on the A-DESIGNS VENTURA, when in the up position, flips the Input signal 180 degrees out of phase.

The Q position settings for the equalizer bands on the A-DESIGNS VENTURA are as follows:

Note: The Mid Q is not affected by the position of either shelf switch.

The “Microphone Gain Control Pot” on the front panel of the A-DESIGNS VENTURA adjusts the level of the Microphone Preamplifier.

The “Power Switch with LED Indicator” on the front panel of the A-DESIGNS VENTURA turns the unit on and off. The Blue LED will light when the unit is powered on.

The “IEC Cord In” connection on the rear panel of the A-DESIGNS VENTURA is for the AC Power Mains.

The “Fuse/AC Power Settings” on the rear panel of the A-DESIGNS VENTURA allows you to hold the Fuse and 110VAC to 220VAC Jumpers.

The “Microphone Input” on the rear panel of the A-DESIGNS VENTURA is a Balanced XLR with Pin Two Hot at +4 level.

The “Mic/Instrument Output” on the rear panel of the A-DESIGNS VENTURA is a Balanced XLR with Pin Two Hot at +4 level.

The “EQ Input/Insert Return” on the rear panel of the A-DESIGNS VENTURA is a Balanced TRS Input for the Equalizer only or FX return.

The “Main Output” on the rear panel of the A-DESIGNS VENTURA is a Balanced XLR Main System Output with Pin Two Hot at +4 level.
