Before installing the TEKNIX TXBD600 dishwasher, you must remove the house fuse or open the circuit breaker. This appliance must be earthed to reduce the risk of electric shock in the event of a malfunction.

Key electrical safety points:

• The appliance is equipped with a cord having an equipment-earthing conductor and an earthing plug.

• The plug must be plugged into an appropriate outlet that is installed and earthed in accordance with all local codes and ordinances.

• WARNING: Improper connection of the equipment-earthing conductor can result in a risk of electric shock. If you are in doubt about whether the appliance is properly earthed, check with a qualified electrician or service representative.

• Do not modify the power supply plug provided with the appliance. If it does not fit the outlet, have a proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician.

• Do not use an extension cord, adapter plug, or multiple outlet box.

Failure to follow this advice may result in electrical shock or death.

When using your TEKNIX TXBD600 dishwasher, you must follow basic precautions to minimize the risk of fire, explosion, property damage, personal injury, or loss of life.

General Use Precautions:

• Take care as panel edges can be sharp.

• Read all instructions before using the dishwasher.

• Use the dishwasher only for its intended function as described in the user guide.

• This appliance is intended for household and similar applications, such as staff kitchens, farm houses, hotels, motels, and bed and breakfast environments.

• Use only detergents or rinse aids recommended for use in a domestic dishwasher and keep them out of reach of children.

• Check that the detergent dispenser is empty after each wash program is complete.

• When loading items, locate sharp items so they are not likely to damage the dishwasher. Load sharp knives with the handle up to reduce the risk of cut-type injuries.

• Do not touch the filter plate (the metal disc in the dishwasher base) during or immediately after use, as it may be hot.

• Do not tamper with the controls.

• Do not abuse, sit in, or stand on the door or dish rack of the dishwasher. Do not lean on the adjustable racks.

• To reduce the risk of injury, do not allow children to play in or on the dishwasher.

• Some dishwasher detergents are strongly alkaline and can be extremely dangerous if swallowed. Avoid contact with skin and eyes and keep children away from the dishwasher when the door is open.

Operational Safety:

• Open the door very carefully if the dishwasher is in operation, as there is a risk of being sprayed with hot water. Do not open the door fully until the spray arms have stopped rotating.

• The door should not be left in the open position as this could present a tripping hazard.

• The water inside the dishwasher is not suitable for drinking.

• Do not operate the dishwasher if it is damaged, malfunctioning, or has missing/broken parts.

• Children under 8 years old must be kept away from the appliance unless continuously supervised. Children aged 8 and above may use the appliance under supervision or with instruction.

• The dishwasher is designed for washing normal household utensils. Items contaminated by petrol, paint, steel or iron debris, corrosive, acidic, or alkaline chemicals should not be washed in the dishwasher.

• If the dishwasher is not used for long periods, turn off the electricity and water supply.

Maintenance Safety:

• Disconnect the appliance from the power supply before any cleaning or maintenance.

• When disconnecting, pull the plug rather than the power cord.

• Do not repair or replace any part of the appliance unless specifically recommended.

• Keep the floor around the appliance clean and dry to reduce slipping.

• Keep the area around/underneath your appliance free from combustible materials like lint, paper, rags, and chemicals.

Unpacking and Handling:

• Check the packaging and dishwasher for any signs of transport damage. If it is damaged, do not install it and contact your dealer.

• Dispose of packaging responsibly; some parts are recyclable.

• Never lift the dishwasher by its door handle or top panel to avoid damage.

• Be careful with the hoses and power cord at the back to prevent squashing, kinking, or cuts.

• Ensure the drain hose is not restricted or kinked during installation.

Connections and Services:

• Check that the power cord is long enough to reach the outlet. If not, it must be replaced by an authorized technician. Do not use extension cords or multi-outlet power boards.

• Check that the hoses are long enough. If an extension hose is needed, it must be new and of equal quality and diameter.

• The dishwasher should not be connected to a water system where the temperature exceeds 25°C.

• Do not connect the dishwasher to an undersink high-pressure “pushthrough” type hot water system, as this will result in damage.

The following are the standard product and required cabinetry dimensions for the TEKNIX TXBD600 dishwasher. All measurements are in mm.

The front of the TEKNIX TXBD600 can be fitted with a custom panel that meets the following specifications:

Material Specifications:

The panel must be adequately sealed to withstand moisture (50°C @ 80% RH). The back and sides of the panel should be completely sealed with a waterproof vapor barrier (e.g., polyurethane) to prevent damage from the hot and wet environment.

Custom Panel Dimensions (Std tub):

* if using supplied toe kick mounting screws. Panel can be fixed via screwing or gluing to the supplied mounting bracket.

Note: Actual Product dimensions may vary by ±2mm.

Cabinet Preparation:

• To prevent steam damage to the cabinetry, ensure that any bare wood surrounding the dishwasher is sealed with an oil-based paint or moisture-proof polyurethane.

• Apply the supplied moisture protection tape to the underside of the benchtop.

• Services (power, water) can be located in an adjacent cabinet on either side of the dishwasher. Ensure any services hole has a minimum diameter of 50mm.

• The power outlet must be located in a cabinet adjacent to the dishwasher cavity.

Positioning and Stabilizing the Dishwasher:

• Do not lift the dishwasher by the door handle.

• As you push the dishwasher into the cavity, pull the hoses and cord through to ensure they don’t get kinked or twisted.

• Plastic spacers can be inserted at the side of the dishwasher next to the hinge to improve stability.

• After sliding the dishwasher into position, adjust the back foot using a 6mm Allen key.

• The front feet can be adjusted manually. The height of the feet can be adjusted from 0-40 mm.

• It is recommended to adjust the feet so that the dishwasher sits securely under the bench top to prevent it from tipping.

Follow these steps to attach a custom door panel:

Step 1: Attach Brackets to the Panel

Insert ST3.9 x 13mm screws through the pilot holes on the small slider brackets and attach them to the custom panel. Please refer to the installation auxiliary page for precise placement.

Step 2: Hang the Panel on the Dishwasher Door

Close the door of the dishwasher. Then, hang the custom panel onto the front of the dishwasher door, aligning the brackets with their corresponding slots.
