• Do not use in a place where heaters are turned on or unextinguished embers exist in an unattended fireplace or an ashtray etc.

• Do not use in a place where there are combustible materials such as oil paint, paint thinner, mothproofing substances, gasoline, alcohol, thinner, ashtrays with unextinguished cigarettes, etc.

• Do not use in a closed place filled with explosive or toxic vapor.

General Usage:

• If there is a gas leak or combustible spray such as a dust remover is used, do not touch the power outlet and open the window for ventilation as an explosion or fire may occur.

• If the product makes a strange sound or emits a smell or smoke, turn off the product immediately, and then contact a Samsung service center.

• When using the vacuum cleaner, be careful not to hurt yourself on the moving or spinning parts. Keep your body parts (Hair, hands, etc.) from the spin brush or the spin disk.

• When cleaning the wall or ceiling, you should use both hands. If you clean with one hand, you can damage your wrist or drop the vacuum.

• Do not use the vacuum cleaner on objects that can be easily scratched (monitors, stainless steel appliances, etc.).

• Before using the vacuum cleaner, check the wheels of the brush. If there is foreign matter on the wheel of the brush which cannot be removed easily, contact a Samsung service center.

When cleaning the washable parts of your SAMSUNG VS25C97, it is important to use the correct type of detergent to avoid product damage such as plastic breakage, deformation, discoloration, or printing deterioration. Do not use alkaline detergent, acid, industrial detergent, air freshener, or acetic acid.

To install the Clean Station for your SAMSUNG VS25C97, follow these steps:

1. Run the power cord of the Clean Station along the round groove at the bottom.

2. Make sure the power cord is correctly placed so that the Clean Station stands without tilting.

3. Before plugging in the Clean Station, arrange the power cord neatly.

4. When plugging in the Clean Station, the START/STOP button turns blue for 5 seconds and then goes off.

The SAMSUNG VS25C97 vacuum cleaner’s dustbin will be emptied automatically when you place the vacuum cleaner on the Clean Station. The Auto Empty function is enabled by default.

• You can press the START/STOP button on the Clean Station to manually start or stop the emptying process at any time.

• If the vacuum cleaner is placed back on the Clean Station within a minute of being taken off, the Auto Empty function will not operate, even if enabled.

• If clumps of dust, hair, etc., prevent the dustbin from emptying, repeatedly press the START/STOP button until the dustbin is empty.

• If the auto dustbin lid closer is stained, wipe it with a wet tissue.

• Ensure the vacuum cleaner is properly placed on the Clean Station. If not, it may not charge and the Auto Empty function may not work. The START/STOP button will turn red if the dustbin cannot be opened.

Auto Empty Function:

• When the Auto Empty function is enabled, the Auto Empty LED indicator turns white. Press the Auto Empty button to enable or disable this function. For optimal performance, it’s recommended to keep it enabled.

• After emptying the dustbin, a self-diagnosis process starts for optimal performance. Wait for it to complete before using the vacuum again.

You can manage the network connection settings for your SAMSUNG VS25C97 through the Clean Station.

Setting and Canceling the Network Connection:

• To set up, refer to the ‘SmartThings app’ section. To cancel the network connection after entering AP mode, press and hold the Auto Empty button for 5 seconds.

Resetting the Network Connection:

• If the connection fails, press and hold the Auto Empty button for 5 seconds to enter AP mode. Then, press and hold the Auto Empty button for at least 10 seconds to reset the settings. The AP mode will be canceled.

Allowing or Blocking the Network Connection:

• To allow or block Wi-Fi, press and hold the Auto Empty button for at least 15 seconds until the Auto Empty LED and Wi-Fi LED blink simultaneously.

Factory Reset:

• To perform a factory reset, press and hold the Auto Empty button for 5 seconds to enter AP mode. Then, press and hold the Auto Empty button for at least 15 seconds. The AP mode will be canceled and the network settings will reset.

Charging the Battery:

• When the battery level indicator turns red or the ‘Low battery’ message appears on the display, charge the battery by placing the vacuum on the Clean Station.

• You cannot use the vacuum cleaner while it is charging.

• Make sure the back of the battery is correctly placed onto the vacuum charging part.

• When charging starts, the battery level indicator turns on (red, orange, or yellow), rises gradually, and changes to green when charging is complete.

Inserting the Battery:

• Push the battery into the handle of the vacuum cleaner until you hear it “click” into place.

Ejecting the Battery:

• First, ensure the vacuum cleaner is turned off.

• Press the battery release button at the rear of the handle to eject the battery.

• Be careful not to drop the battery, as you may injure yourself or damage the battery.

Charging the Additional Battery:

• Charge the additional battery on the battery cradle. Firmly push the battery onto the cradle.

• The battery level indicator will turn on and change color from red to orange, then yellow as it charges. It will turn green when fully charged.

To get the best performance and lifespan from your SAMSUNG VS25C97 batteries, follow these tips:

• To use the batteries longer, use the vacuum cleaner with a lower suction power setting.

• We recommend alternating the use of the main battery with an additional battery.

• If an additional battery is fully charged and will not be used for an extended period, remove it from the battery charger and store it at room temperature.

• The vacuum cleaner has a battery protection mode. It might suddenly stop if it detects a danger to the battery.

• If the battery level indicator blinks red 30 times, you must wait for 30 seconds before you can use the vacuum cleaner again.

• If the battery level indicator blinks red 5 times, the battery is no longer usable. Please replace the battery with a new one.

The SAMSUNG VS25C97 has a simple interface with a display and three buttons:

01 Display: Shows the current mode (‘MIN, AI, MID, MAX, JET, or WET’) or an alert message.

02 Power (On/Off) Button:

• Press this button to turn the vacuum cleaner on or off.

• When you turn on the power, the vacuum starts in ‘MID’ mode by default, unless a specific brush is attached.

• If you assemble the Spray Spinning Sweeper, it starts in ‘WET’ mode.

• If you assemble the Active Dual Brush or Slim LED Brush+, it starts in ‘AI’ mode.

03 Suction Power Control (+ / -) Buttons:

• Use these buttons to change the suction power mode (‘MIN, AI, MID, MAX, or JET’).

• In ‘AI’ mode, the vacuum automatically adjusts suction power and brush rotation speed based on the floor type. This mode is only available with the Active Dual Brush or Slim LED Brush+.

• In ‘WET’ mode, press the ‘+’ button to spray water once, or press and hold it to spray for up to 2 seconds. Only the ‘+’ button works in this mode.

• While the vacuum is on the Clean Station, press and hold the ‘+’ button for 5 seconds to enable or disable the Energy Saving mode.

To select the language on your SAMSUNG VS25C97, follow these steps:

1. Press and hold the ‘+’ button for 3 seconds to enter or exit the language setting menu.

2. Press the ‘+’ or ‘–’ button to cycle through the available languages.

Note: You cannot enter the language settings when the vacuum cleaner is in ‘WET’ mode.

The SAMSUNG VS25C97 will display messages to help you maintain its performance. Here’s what they mean and what to do:

Self-diagnosis Messages

Detaching Accessories:

• To detach any accessory, press the release button on the back of it.

• Before detaching, operate the vacuum cleaner in ‘MAX’ mode for 10 seconds to clear any remaining foreign matter inside the accessory.

Combination Tool:

• Use to remove dust from curtains, furniture, sofas, etc.

Extension Crevice Tool:

• Use to remove dust in grooves of window frames, narrow gaps, corners, etc.

Flexible Tool:

• Use to clean hard-to-reach places such as on top of or behind furniture or ceilings.

• You can connect the Combination Tool or the Extension Crevice Tool to the Flexible Tool for extended reach.

Using the Accessory Cradle:

• Attach accessories to the cradle by pushing them until they make a clicking sound.

• To detach, press the release button on the back of each accessory.

• Make sure to remove any wet pads from the Spray Spinning Sweeper before attaching it to the Accessory Cradle.

The Spray Spinning Sweeper is used to clean wooden or linoleum floors with a wet pad. Note that this accessory does not have a dust suction function.

Using the Reusable Wet Pad:

• When attaching the reusable wet pad, make sure the pad is centered on the spin disk.

Using the Disposable Wet Pad:

• Attach the disposable wet pad to the front side (Velcro side) of the attachable pad on the spin disk.

• Using the disposable pad without the attachable pad may degrade cleaning performance.

• After use, discard the disposable wet pad.

Detaching or Attaching the Water Tank:

• To detach, press the lower part of the water tank.

• To attach, insert the front end of the water tank first.

Important Notes:

• Do not use groundwater or polluted water.

• When using the sweeper for the first time, air in the pump may cause a delay in spraying water. Press the ‘+’ button repeatedly to prime it.

Maintenance:

• If the spin disk does not work after cleaning, the motor’s overheating prevention device may have been enabled. Wait 30 minutes or more for the motor to cool down before operating again.

Regular cleaning is essential for maintaining your SAMSUNG VS25C97’s performance. Always turn the product off before cleaning.

Clean Station – Replacing the Dust Bag:

1. If the START/STOP button turns red, check if the dust bag is full.

2. Open the Clean Station front cover.

3. Remove the full dust bag.

4. Slide a new dust bag into the guide until it clicks.

5. Close the front cover. Used dust bags are not re-usable and should be disposed of.

Clean Station – Filters:

• Premotor Filter: Use the handle to lift the filter out and shake it over a bin to remove dust.

• Fine Dust Filter: Remove the filter and shake it over a bin to remove dust.

Vacuum – Dustbin/Washable Micro Filter:

1. Press the dustbin release button to detach the dustbin.

2. Open the dustbin cover and empty the dust.

3. Separate the Metal Mesh Grille Filter and Washable Micro Filter.

4. Wash the dustbin, Metal Mesh Grille filter, and Washable Micro Filter with water.

5. Dry all parts completely in the shade for more than 24 hours before reassembling.

Vacuum – Fine Dust Filter:

1. Turn the Fine Dust Filter toward the unlock icon to disassemble.

2. Remove the dust. For best performance, clean with water once a month.

3. Dry completely for more than 24 hours in the shade before use.

4. Reassemble by turning the filter toward the lock icon.

Brushes and Tools:

• Active Dual Brush: Press the release button on the brush, remove the spin brush, and use scissors to remove tangled matter like hair. Wipe clean and reinsert.

• Slim LED Brush+: Press the release button and remove the spin brush. Clean it with a wet tissue or dry cloth. Do not use water. Allow it to dry vertically to prevent bristle compression.

• Pet Tool +: Cut tangled hair or fur with scissors, then use a vacuum to suck up the pieces.

• Extension Crevice Tool / Telescopic Pipe: Insert a long thin stick and rotate it several times to clean the inside.

To use the SmartThings app with your SAMSUNG VS25C97 (on models with Wi-Fi), you will need a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi router.

STEP 1: Setting up the wireless router

• Ensure your router supports IEEE 802.11b/g/n (802.11n recommended) and the DHCP server option is activated.

• The vacuum supports WEP-OPEN, WPA-PSK/TKIP, and WPA2-PSK/AES encryption protocols (WPA2-PSK/AES recommended).

STEP 2: Downloading the SmartThings app

• Download and install the “SmartThings” app from the Google Play Store, Apple App Store, or Samsung Galaxy Store.

• Your mobile device should have [Android] 8.0 or later (with at least 3 GB of RAM) or [iOS] 14.0 or later.

STEP 3: Setting up a Samsung account

• You must sign in to a Samsung account. Follow the directions in the app to create one, or if you have a Samsung smartphone, add your account in the phone’s Settings app for automatic sign-in.

STEP 4: Registering the device to the SmartThings app

1. Connect your smartphone to your wireless router.

2. Open the SmartThings app.

3. If a pop-up says a new device has been found, tap ADD NOW. If not, select ‘Stick vacuums’ under the ‘Home appliances’ category and choose your vacuum cleaner. You can also scan the QR code on the bottom of the Clean Station.

4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the connection and authentication process.

The SmartThings app allows you to check on your SAMSUNG VS25C97 and control it remotely. Here are the available functions:

	Display and lights (Default: On)	You can set the display and battery lighting. On: Display light turns off when fully charged, battery light stays on. Off: Display and battery lights turn off 3 seconds after mounting on the Clean Station.
	Wi-Fi	If you change your Wi-Fi router, you can update the vacuum cleaner’s Wi-Fi information here.

If your SAMSUNG VS25C97 vacuum cleaner does not turn on or work, please check the following:

• Check the battery level and charge the battery if necessary.

• Ensure the product is turned off, then press the Power button to turn it on.

• Make sure the battery is properly inserted into the vacuum cleaner.

• Check whether the Telescopic Pipe, the dustbin, or the brush is blocked and clear any obstructions.

• Check that the Washable Micro Filter is inserted correctly.

• If the vacuum cleaner has not been used for a long time, charge the battery.

• If the battery is dead, replace it with a new one.

• Check if the battery protection mode is activated. If the battery light blinks red 30 times, wait 30 seconds before trying again.

If the spin brush or spin disk of an accessory is not moving, follow these steps:

• If the ‘Check Brush’ message appears on the display, turn off the vacuum cleaner and check whether the brush is clogged with foreign matter. If it is, remove the foreign matter and restart the vacuum cleaner.

• Try turning the vacuum cleaner off and then on again.

• For the Slim LED Brush+ and Spray Spinning Sweeper, if the overheating prevention device of the accessory’s motor is enabled, it may take about 30 minutes for the motor to cool down before it will work again.

If you are having trouble connecting your SAMSUNG VS25C97, please review these common issues and solutions:

The SmartThings app cannot be installed.

• The SmartThings app requires Android OS 8.0 or later, or iOS 14.0 or later. Normal installation or use is not guaranteed on rooted devices.

I have installed the SmartThings app but it fails to connect with the Clean Station.

• Refer to the ‘SmartThings app’ section in the user manual to connect the Clean Station to a wireless router.

• Check the Bluetooth connection: Press and hold the Clean Station’s START/STOP button for 5 seconds. The button blinks red for 5 seconds if Bluetooth is not connected, and blinks blue for 5 seconds when it is connected.

I cannot log into the Samsung account.

• Check your ID and password on the screen of the Samsung account.

The wireless router is not detected during registration.

• Cancel the product registration, open the SmartThings app again, and retry the registration.

I entered the wrong Wi-Fi password during registration.

• Cancel the product registration, open the app, and try again. On the network list, press and hold the router you want to connect to and delete the network to re-enter the password.

The Clean Station appears to be offline in the SmartThings app.

• Check the Internet connection of your wireless router.

• Connection may be lost if the Clean Station is too far from the wireless router.

• Close the SmartThings app and restart it.

• If the SSID/password of your wireless router has changed, you need to register the product again.

• Check if you have blocked the Clean Station’s network connection. To allow it, press and hold the Auto Empty button for at least 15 seconds until the Auto Empty LED and Wi-Fi LED blink simultaneously.

If your SAMSUNG VS25C97 is on the Clean Station but the dustbin emptying and self-diagnosis features are not working, check the following:

• Make sure the Clean Station is properly plugged in.

• Make sure the vacuum cleaner is properly placed on the Clean Station.

• Check if you have enabled the Auto Empty function in the settings.

• Check the Bluetooth connection: Press and hold the START/STOP button for 5 seconds. It blinks red if not connected, and blue if connected.

• To connect Bluetooth: Press and hold the START/STOP button for 5 seconds until it blinks. While it’s blinking, press the Auto Empty button. Then, on the vacuum, simultaneously press the + and – buttons. Then, simultaneously press and hold the + and – buttons again for 3 seconds until the display says, ‘Connecting to Bluetooth’.

• Make sure the battery is properly inserted into the vacuum cleaner.

• The Auto Empty function will not operate if the vacuum is placed back on the Clean Station within one minute of being removed.

• If you set the default suction power to a mode other than AI in the SmartThings app, the self-diagnosis will not run after emptying.
