Please observe the following warnings and precautions when handling your SAMSUNG GALAXY Z FOLD7:

Magnets:

• Your Samsung device contains magnets. Keep it away from credit cards and devices that may be affected by magnets.

• Keep your device more than 6 in./15 cm away from medical devices. If you suspect interference with a medical device, stop using your Samsung device and consult your medical provider.

General Handling:

• Do not press the screen or the front camera with a hard or sharp object or apply excessive pressure, as this could cause scratching or puncturing.

• This device is not dust resistant. Exposure to small particles may cause damage.

• When using the speakers, do not place the device close to your ears.

• Avoid exposing the camera lens to a strong light source, as this may damage the camera image sensor, causing dots or spots in pictures.

• If the device’s glass or acrylic body is broken, there may be a risk of injury.

To prevent damage to your SAMSUNG GALAXY Z FOLD7, please follow these guidelines:

• Always fold the device before putting it in a bag or storing it. Do not store the device unfolded, as another object could scratch or puncture the screen.

• Do not fold the device toward the back side. This will damage the device.

• When folding the device, do not place any objects, such as cards, coins, or keys, on the Main screen, as the screen may be damaged.

• You may notice a crease at the center of the Main screen. This is a normal characteristic of the device.

Adaptive Flex mode on the SAMSUNG GALAXY Z FOLD7 takes advantage of both screens for different viewing and camera experiences. Note that this mode is only available for supported apps.

• Flex mode: Open the phone and set it on a flat surface. Adjust one of the halves of the inside screen to a comfortable viewing angle. The video or viewfinder moves to the top half of the screen, while the controls appear on the bottom half.

• Tent view: Prop your device up on a flat surface using the edges of the screen and watch video on the cover screen.

• Cover view: Watch videos on the cover screen by setting the other half of the phone on a flat surface and adjusting the cover screen to a comfortable viewing angle.

Your device uses a nano-SIM card, which may be preinstalled. This device is also compatible with an eSIM.

1. Install SIM card: Place the SIM card into the tray as shown in the user guide illustrations.

2. Charge your device: Before turning on your device for the first time, charge it fully.

To avoid electric shock and water damage, do not charge the device while it is wet or in an area where it could get wet. Do not handle the device, charger, or cords with wet hands while charging.

Follow these tips to prevent damage and maintain water resistance:

• Rated IP48: The device resists solid particles >1 mm and was tested for submersion in up to 5 ft. of fresh water for up to 30 minutes. Rinse residue and dry the device after it gets wet.

• Seal compartments: Any device which uses accessible compartments or ports that can be opened should have these sealed or closed tightly to prevent liquid from entering the system.

• After immersion: If the device has been immersed in water, the touchscreen or other features may not work properly. If the microphone or speaker is wet, sound may not be heard clearly during a call. Use a dry cloth to dry the device thoroughly before using it.

• Avoid high pressure: Do not expose the device to water at high pressure.

• Impacts: If the device is dropped or receives an impact, the water-resistant features may be damaged.

Note: Liquid other than fresh water may enter the device faster. Failure to rinse the device in fresh water and dry it as instructed may cause operability or cosmetic issues.

Your SAMSUNG GALAXY Z FOLD7 is powered by a rechargeable battery. A USB Type-C 3A cable is included. The wall charger is sold separately.

• Use only Samsung-approved chargers and cables. To avoid injury or damage to your device, do not use incompatible, worn, or damaged batteries, chargers, or cables.

• While charging, the device and charger may become hot and stop charging. This usually does not affect the device’s lifespan or performance. If this happens, disconnect the charger and wait for the device to cool down.

You can wirelessly charge your compatible Samsung devices using your phone. Some features are not available while sharing power.

1. From Settings, tap Device care > Battery > Wireless power sharing.

2. Tap Battery limit and choose a percentage. Once the device you are charging has reached this level, wireless power sharing automatically turns off.

3. Tap the switch to turn on the charging feature.

4. With the phone face down, place the compatible device on the back of the phone to charge. A notification sound or vibration occurs when charging begins.

For best results:

• This feature works with most Qi-Certified devices and requires a minimum of 30% battery to share.

• Remove any accessories or covers before using the feature.

• Adjust the placement of the device to make a connection with the wireless charging coil.

• Call reception or data services may be affected, depending on your network environment.

• Do not use headphones while charging with Wireless Power Sharing.

Use the Side button to manage your device’s power state. Do not use the device if the body is cracked or broken.

• To turn the device on: Press and hold the Side button.

• To turn the device off: Press and hold the Side button and Volume down button at the same time, and then tap Power off.

• To restart your device: Press and hold the Side button and Volume down button at the same time, and then tap Restart.

Use Smart Switch™ to transfer contacts, photos, music, videos, messages, notes, calendars, and more from your old device. Smart Switch can transfer data using a USB cable, Wi-Fi, or computer.

1. From Settings, tap Accounts and backup > Transfer data for device setup.

2. Follow the prompts and select the content to transfer.

You can customize the shortcuts assigned to the Side button for double press and long press actions.

Double press:

1. From Settings, tap Advanced features > Side button.

2. Tap Double press and tap the switch to enable this feature. Then choose an option:

Add a Google Account:

1. From Settings, tap Accounts and backup > Manage accounts.

2. Tap Add account > Google.

Add a Samsung account:

• From Settings, tap Sign in to your Galaxy.

Add an Outlook account:

1. From Settings, tap Accounts and backup > Manage accounts.

2. Tap Add account > Outlook.

Set up voicemail:

1. From the Phone app, touch and hold the 1 key or tap the Voicemail icon.

2. Follow the tutorial to create a password, record a greeting, and record your name.

The touch screen responds best to a light touch from the pad of your finger or a capacitive stylus.

• Tap: Lightly touch an item to select or launch it. Double-tap an image to zoom in or out.

• Swipe: Lightly drag across the screen to unlock the device, or to scroll through Home screens or menu options.

• Drag and drop: Touch and hold an item, and then move it to a new location. For example, drag an app shortcut to a Home screen.

• Zoom in and out: Bring two fingers together or apart on the screen to zoom. Move fingers apart to zoom in, and move them together to zoom out.

• Touch and hold: Touch and hold items to activate them, such as displaying a pop-up menu of options for a field.

You can navigate your device using either navigation buttons or full screen gestures.

Navigation buttons:

1. From Settings, tap Display > Navigation bar > Buttons.

2. Tap More options to change the button order or position (Galaxy Z Fold7 only).

Navigation gestures:

1. From Settings, tap Display > Navigation bar > Swipe gestures to enable the feature.

2. Tap More options to adjust gesture sensitivity.

Circle to Search:

1. From Settings, tap Display > Navigation bar and tap Circle to search to enable it.

2. To use it, press and hold the Home button (or the Navigation handle in Gesture mode).

3. Circle, highlight, or tap anywhere on the screen to select the text, image, or video you want to search on Google.

You can customize the Home and Lock screens with wallpapers, themes, widgets, and more.

• App icons: From Apps, touch and hold an app icon, and tap Add to Home. To remove an icon from the Home screen, touch and hold it, then tap Remove.

• Wallpaper and style: From a Home screen, touch and hold the screen, then tap Wallpaper and style. Here you can change wallpapers, choose a color palette based on your wallpaper, and dim the wallpaper for Dark mode.

• Themes: From a Home screen, touch and hold the screen, then tap Themes to apply a new theme to your Home and Lock screens, wallpapers, and app icons.

• Icons: From a Home screen, touch and hold, then tap Themes > Icons to apply different icon sets.

• Widgets: From a Home screen, touch and hold, then tap Widgets. Swipe to a widget, tap it, and then tap Add. You can also customize widgets by touching and holding them on the Home screen to create a stack, remove, or change settings.

From Settings, tap Home screen to access a variety of customization options:

• App size: Adjust the size of apps on the Home and Apps screen.

• App/Widget labels: Enable or disable labels for apps and widgets.

• Cover screen mirroring (Galaxy Z Fold7 only): Use the same layout on your cover and main screens.

• Home screen layout: Choose between separate Home/Apps screens or a single Home screen.

• Screen/Folder grid: Choose a layout for how icons and folders are arranged.

• Add media page to Home screen: Swipe right from the Home screen to open a media page.

• Show Apps screen button on Home screen: Add a button for direct access to the Apps screen.

• Lock Home screen layout: Prevent items from being moved or removed.

• Add new apps to Home screen: Automatically add newly downloaded apps to the Home screen.

• Hide apps on Home and Apps screens: Choose apps to hide from view.

• App icon badges: Enable badges on apps with active notifications.

• Swipe down for notification panel: Open the panel by swiping down anywhere on the Home screen.

Status Bar:

The Status bar at the top of the screen provides device information (like battery and signal) on the right and notification alerts on the left.

Quick Settings:

Swipe down from the top right corner of the screen to display Quick settings. Tap an icon to turn a feature on or off (e.g., Wi-Fi, Sound, Bluetooth). Touch and hold an icon to open its detailed settings menu.

Notification Panel:

1. Swipe down from the top of the screen (avoiding the top right corner) to display the Notification panel.

2. You can manage notifications from here:

• To open an item, tap it.

• To clear a single notification, drag it left or right.

• To clear all notifications, tap Clear.

• To customize, tap Notification settings.

3. Swipe up from the bottom or tap Back to close the panel.

From Settings, tap Galaxy AI to use advanced intelligence features. A Samsung account is required. Features include:

• Call assist: Get real-time translation during voice calls.

• Writing assist: Change writing style, get spelling/grammar suggestions, and translate messages.

• Interpreter: Live translation of spoken conversations as voice or text.

• Note assist: Automatically format, summarize, correct, and generate covers for notes.

• Transcript assist: Transform recordings into text transcripts and summaries.

• Browsing assist: Get simple summaries and translations of webpage text.

• Photo assist: Edit images by repositioning, removing, or resizing people/objects.

• Drawing assist: Transform simple drawings into works of art.

• Audio eraser: Eliminate distracting noise in videos.

• Photo ambient wallpaper: Allow AI to change your wallpaper based on time and weather.

Taskbar (Galaxy Z Fold7 only):

The Taskbar at the bottom of the screen provides a PC-like experience for opening apps quickly.

1. From Settings, tap Display > Taskbar.

2. Tap the switch to enable this feature.

Multi window:

Multitask by using multiple apps at the same time on a split screen.

1. From any screen, tap the Recent apps button.

2. Tap the app icon of the first app, and then tap Open in split screen view.

3. Tap a second app in the other window to add it to the split screen view.

4. Drag the middle of the window border to adjust the window size.

You can also use swipe gestures for Multi window. Go to Settings > Advanced features > Multi window to configure options like “Swipe for split screen” and “Swipe for pop-up view”.

From the Samsung keyboard, tap the Settings icon to customize options.

Smart typing:

• Writing assist: Translate messages, change tone, and get spelling/grammar suggestions.

• Predictive text: Display suggested words and phrases as you type.

• Auto replace/spell check: Automatically replace words or underline misspelled words.

Style and layout:

• Keyboard toolbar: Show or hide the toolbar.

• High contrast keyboard: Adjust colors and size for better contrast.

• Theme: Choose a theme for your keyboard.

• Size and transparency: Adjust the keyboard’s size and transparency.

Other settings:

• Swipe, touch, and feedback: Customize gestures and feedback.

• Voice input: Configure voice input services.

• Handwriting (Galaxy Z Fold7 only): Customize handwriting options.

1. Open the Camera app. You can also double-press the Side button to open it quickly.

2. Set up your shot with these features:

• Tap the screen where you want the camera to focus. A brightness scale will appear; drag the slider to adjust.

• To switch between front and rear cameras, swipe the screen up or down.

• To zoom, tap a zoom magnification number at the bottom of the screen (rear camera only).

• To change shooting modes (e.g., Portrait, Video), swipe the screen right or left.

• For other settings, tap the Quick controls icons.

3. Tap the Capture button to take a picture.

The SAMSUNG GALAXY Z FOLD7 also features Capture and view, which displays pictures and videos you capture on a side panel while the camera is still open (only when the device is open).

From the Camera app, swipe the screen to change shooting modes. Tap More to see additional modes.

• Portrait: Adjust the background of your shots for portrait photos.

• Photo: The standard mode for taking pictures.

• Video: The standard mode for recording videos.

• Pro / Pro video: Manually adjust ISO sensitivity, exposure value, white balance, and color tone.

• Night: Take photos in low-light conditions without using the flash.

• Panorama: Create a linear image by taking pictures in a horizontal or vertical direction.

• Slow motion: Record videos at a high frame rate for slow-motion playback.

• Hyperlapse: Create a time-lapse video by recording at various frame rates.

• Portrait video: Adjust the background of your shots for portrait videos.

• Single take: Capture multiple pictures and video clips from different angles with one shot.

Recording Videos:

1. From the Camera app, swipe to the Video shooting mode.

2. Tap the Record button to begin. You can tap Capture to take a picture while recording, or Pause to temporarily stop.

3. Tap Stop when you are finished.

Video Settings:

In Camera settings, you can configure advanced video options:

• Auto FPS: Automatically optimizes the frame rate in low-light conditions.

• Video stabilization: Activates anti-shake to keep the focus steady.

• Advanced video options: Enhance videos with formats like HDR10+ and Log for more dynamic editing.

• Zoom-in mic (Galaxy Z Fold7 only): Matches the microphone zoom to the camera zoom.

• 360 audio recording: Captures immersive 3D sound through your Bluetooth headphones.

Editing Pictures:

1. From the Gallery app, open a picture and tap Edit.

2. Use the editing tools:

• Photo assist: Reposition people or objects and generate a new background.

• Transform: Rotate, flip, or crop the picture.

• Filters: Add color effects.

• Tone: Adjust brightness, exposure, contrast, etc.

• Decorations: Add text, stickers, or drawn content.

• Tools: Use other editing tools like object eraser.

3. Tap Save when finished.

Editing Videos:

1. From the Gallery app, open a video and tap Edit.

2. Use the available tools, such as Trim to cut segments, Adjust speed, add Filters, adjust Tone, add Decorations, and adjust Audio levels or add background music.

3. Tap Save when finished.

Take a Screenshot:

• From any screen, press and release the Side button and Volume down button simultaneously.

• Alternatively, enable Palm swipe to capture in Settings (Advanced features > Motions and gestures) and swipe the edge of your hand across the screen.

Use the Screen Recorder:

1. From Quick Settings, tap Screen recorder.

2. Choose a sound setting and tap Start recording.

3. A three-second countdown runs before recording begins.

4. During recording, you can tap Draw to draw on the screen or Selfie video to include a recording from your front camera.

5. Tap Stop to finish. Recordings are automatically saved to the Gallery.

Manage Call Log:

• Open the Phone app and tap Recents to see your log of dialed, received, and missed calls.

• To save a contact from a recent call, tap the call entry, then tap Add or Add to contacts.

• To delete a call record, touch and hold the call you want to delete, then tap Delete.

• To block a number, tap the caller, tap Call history, and then tap Block.

Use Speed Dial:

1. From the Phone app, tap Keypad > More options > Speed dial numbers.

2. Tap an unassigned number.

3. Type in a name or number, or tap Add from Contacts to assign a contact.

4. To make a call using Speed Dial, touch and hold the assigned Speed Dial number on the keypad.

Wi-Fi:

1. From Settings, tap Connections > Wi-Fi, and then tap the switch to turn on Wi-Fi.

2. Tap a network from the list and enter a password if required.

3. Tap Connect.

To connect to a hidden network, tap Add network at the bottom of the list and enter the network details manually.

Bluetooth:

1. From Settings, tap Connections > Bluetooth, and then tap the switch to turn on Bluetooth.

2. Tap a device from the list of available devices and follow the prompts to pair and connect.

3. To unpair a device, tap the Settings icon next to the device name, and then tap Unpair.

You can configure screen brightness, timeout, font size, and more under Settings > Display.

• Dark mode: Switch to a darker theme for comfort at night. You can set it to turn on as scheduled.

• Screen brightness: Drag the slider to set a custom brightness level, or enable Adaptive brightness to adjust automatically.

• Motion smoothness: Increase the screen’s refresh rate for smoother scrolling and animations.

• Eye comfort shield: Reduces eye strain by adjusting the screen’s color temperature. Can be set on a schedule.

• Screen mode: Adjust the screen quality for different situations (e.g., Vivid, Natural).

• Font size and style: Change the font size and style for your device.

• Screen layout and zoom: Adjust the zoom level to make content larger or smaller.

• Screen timeout: Set the amount of time before the screen turns off.

Use biometrics to securely unlock your device. You must set a pattern, PIN, or password first.

Face recognition:

1. From Settings, tap Security and privacy > Screen lock and biometrics > Face recognition.

2. Follow the prompts to register your face. Note that face recognition is less secure than a Pattern, PIN, or Password.

3. In the management screen, you can remove face data, add an alternative appearance, or require your eyes to be open for recognition.

Fingerprint scanner:

1. From Settings, tap Security and privacy > Screen lock and biometrics > Fingerprints.

2. Follow the prompts to register your fingerprint.

3. In the management screen, you can add more fingerprints, rename or remove existing ones, and choose to enable Fingerprint unlock or Fingerprint always on.

Backup your data:

• Samsung Account: Go to Settings > Accounts and backup. Under Samsung Cloud, you can choose to Back up data or Restore data.

• Google Account: Go to Settings > Accounts and backup. Under Google Drive, tap Back up data.

• External Storage: Use Smart Switch to back up your data to a USB storage device. Go to Settings > Accounts and backup > External storage transfer.

Reset options:

Go to Settings > General management > Reset to find the following options:

• Reset all settings: Resets device settings to factory defaults without affecting personal data.

• Reset mobile network settings: Resets mobile data settings.

• Reset Wi-Fi and Bluetooth settings: Resets settings for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

• Factory Data Reset: Resets your device to factory defaults, erasing ALL data from the device. Before performing a factory reset, ensure all important information is backed up.

The SAMSUNG GALAXY Z FOLD7 offers a range of accessibility settings for users who need help seeing, hearing, or operating their device.

• Vision enhancements: Adjust colors and contrast (High contrast themes, color inversion, color filter), magnify the screen, and use spoken assistance tools like Bixby Vision for accessibility.

• Hearing enhancements: Activate real-time text (RTT), Live Transcribe, Live Caption, and get sound notifications for events like a baby crying. Also includes hearing aid support and sound balance adjustments.

• Interaction and dexterity: Use features like Universal switch, Assistant menu, and Voice Access for alternate input. Simplify call answering/ending motions and adjust touch settings like touch and hold delay.

• Advanced settings: Configure accessibility shortcuts, flash notifications, and more.
