What are the main parts of the RH-9503 Line Laser?
The main parts identified are:
• Horizontal line
• Vertical line
• On/Off switch
• Setting panel
How should the pendulum be handled?
The Line Laser is a precision instrument and should be treated with care. When not in use, the pendulum should always be in the OFF position (pendulum lock). To lock the pendulum allows the cross line laser to better withstand vibration and trauma incurred during transportation or if the unit is dropped.
How does the automatic leveling feature work?
When the pendulum is unlocked, it is free to automatically level. In order for the cross line laser to automatically level, the base of the unit needs to be within 3° of level.
What are the functions of the keypad?
The keypad includes the following controls and indicators:
• Pulse Indicator: Indicates when pulse mode is active.
• Pulse Key: Toggles the pulse mode.
• Line Selection (LASER button): Cycles through different laser line combinations.
• Low Battery Indicator: Indicates when the battery is low.
How do I select different laser modes once the unit is turned on?
When you turn on the laser, it starts with the horizontal line (H ON), vertical line (V ON), and 2 laser dots on top and down.
– Press the line button (LASER) one time for just the horizontal line (H ON).
– Press the line button for a 2nd time for just the vertical line (V on, H off).
– Press the line button for a 3rd time for just the dots to be ON.
– Press the line button for a 4th time for all the laser lines with two laser dots to be ON.
What type of battery does this device use?
This device can be used with a Lithium battery and charger.
How do I activate the lock emitting mode?
To use the lock emitting mode:
1. Put the line laser in the pendulum lock mode (switch bar at the left side).
2. Press and hold the line selection button for 3 seconds to activate lock emitting mode.
The line will come out from the laser. Be aware that in this mode the laser itself is out of accuracy as the pendulum is locked. This mode can be used for special applications such as stairs alignment since the pendulum is locking.
How does the ‘out of level’ alarm function?
When the pendulum is unlocked and the cross line laser is within 3° of level, the unit will be in the automatic leveling range, and no LED light will be on. When the base of the unit is located outside the leveling range, the laser beam will flash.
How does the low battery alarm function?
The red battery LED will be on and keep flashing slowly when the working voltage is low. At this situation, the batteries are required to be charged.
