Press the power button to turn the power on or power off. The meter features an auto power-off function that will turn the device off after 20 minutes if there is no operation or PC communication.

Press the “°C/°F” button once. The unit will convert from °C to °F, or from °F to °C.

Press the “HOLD” button to enter Hold mode. An “H” will be displayed on the LCD, and the current reading will be frozen. Press “HOLD” again to exit the Hold mode.

To disable the auto power-off mode, press and hold the “HOLD” button for 2 seconds, then press “HOLD” again. The “A” symbol on the LCD will disappear.

To re-enable the auto power-off mode, press and hold the “HOLD” button for two seconds, then press “HOLD” again. The “A” symbol will reappear on the LCD.

MAX/MIN: This function allows you to read the maximum or minimum recorded temperature.

REL (Relative Readout): This function shows the difference between the current temperature and a stored reference temperature.

Step 1: With a stable temperature reading (e.g., T1=25.3, T2=25.2), press the REL button. The display for T1 and T2 will reset to 0.0, and the initial temperatures are saved as the reference.

Step 2: As the temperature changes (e.g., T1=26.1, T2=25.7), the display will show the difference from the saved reference values. In this example, T1 will show 0.8 (26.1 – 25.3) and T2 will show 0.5 (25.7 – 25.2).

The MEM function allows you to save a maximum of 10 data readings.

• Save Data: Press the MEM button to save the current reading.

• Memory Full: If you try to save more than 10 readings, “OU” will appear on the display, indicating the memory is full.

• Clear Memory: To clear all saved data, press and hold the MEM button for 2 seconds. “CLEA” will appear on the screen.

LIMIT: Press the limit button to turn the Hi/Lo alarm function ON or OFF.

T1-T2: Press this button to display the temperature difference between the T1 and T2 inputs.

The Hi/Lo alarm will sound when the main display temperature goes above the set Hi temperature or below the set Lo temperature. To set these values:

1. Press the SHIFT key, then press the HOLD key to enter the setting mode.

2. Use the HOLD (MAX/MIN) key to move the position of the flashing digit (the adjustable digit).

3. Use the REL (°C/°F) key to set the value of the flashing digit.

4. Use the MEM key to turn a decimal point ON or OFF if needed.

5. Press the SHIFT key to go back to the main display.

When the battery voltage is below the proper operation requirement, a “+ -” symbol will appear on the LCD. This indicates that the battery needs to be replaced with a new one.

To replace the battery:

1. Use a screwdriver to take the screw off the battery cover.

2. Remove the battery cover.

3. Remove the old battery and then put in a new battery.

4. Put the cover back on and secure it with the screw.

Input protection: The temperature jack is protected against a maximum voltage of 24 VDC or VAC.

Temperature jacks: The jacks are designed for the insertion of standard small thermocouple jacks, which have a center spacing of 7.9mm between the two prongs.
