How do I load staples and nails into my POWERSHOT PRO 8000?

The POWERSHOT PRO 8000 is equipped with a Quick-Load Staple Chamber.

Before loading, make sure there are no staples or nails jammed from previous usage by checking the handle operation.

CAUTION: If a staple or nail is jammed, point the gun away from yourself and others before opening the track as the jammed staple or nail may be fired out upon opening.

If there are no jams, follow these steps:

To Load Staples:

1. Turn the gun upside down so the bottom of the gun is facing away from your face and body.

2. Open the staple chamber by squeezing and pulling the plastic track release straight up away from the base of the gun and sliding the track back.

3. Place staples into the chamber with the points facing upwards.

To Load Nails:

1. Turn the gun upside down and tilt the gun so the side with the nail icon “T” and staple remaining window is facing down.

2. Load by leaning the rack of nails tight against the inside of the staple chamber in the housing.

3. Be sure to insert nails with the point of the nail facing upwards. The gun may jam if nails are inserted in the wrong side of the housing.

How do I fire the POWERSHOT PRO 8000?

The POWERSHOT PRO 8000 has been designed for unprecedented ease of use and control.

1. Simply grasp the POWERSHOT PRO 8000 with your hand on the forward part of the gun.

2. Apply smooth, even pressure.

3. Make sure the nosepiece is placed firmly against the workpiece before firing. The staple exits beneath your hand.

How can I check the remaining staples and staple size in my POWERSHOT PRO 8000?

Use the Staples Remaining Window, located on the left side of the gun, to determine when it’s time to reload. Also, use the window to see what size staples are loaded.

What is the Staple Exit Indicator on the POWERSHOT PRO 8000?

Use the Staple Exit Indicator when you need greater precision in placing your staples. Staples will exit the gun directly behind the noseplate.

How do I use the wire guide attachment on the POWERSHOT PRO 8000?

Use the wire guide attachment to help prevent stapling into low voltage wire. The guide provides a groove to place wire into before stapling, which helps prevent puncturing the low voltage wire.

To use the attachment, slide the attachment into the front of the stapler so the groove is protruding under the staple exit point.

How do I clear a jammed staple or nail from the POWERSHOT PRO 8000?

If it becomes necessary to clear a jam from the staple chamber or track, follow these instructions:

IMPORTANT: POINT THE GUN AWAY FROM YOURSELF AND OTHERS at all times and especially when opening the track to clear a jammed staple or nail. As the track is opened, the jammed staple or nail may be shot out unexpectedly.

1. With the bottom of the gun facing away from your face and body, open the staple chamber by squeezing and pulling the plastic track release straight up away from the base of the gun and sliding the track back. (Note: the jammed staple or nail may cause the track to be harder to slide out than usual. Once the staple or nail has been cleared, the track will resume its normal, free operation).

2. Loose staples or nails will be expelled from the chamber.

3. Clear any remaining staples or nails from the track and chamber area.

4. Reload the POWERSHOT PRO 8000 and continue using.

How should I store the POWERSHOT PRO 8000?

When finished using your POWERSHOT PRO 8000, unload any remaining staples or nails.

Store it in a dry place, out of the reach of children.
