• To use this function, you must first set up a user profile and register your face/voice data and preferred Home Screen.

• Say “my Home Screen” into the microphone of the Touch Pad Controller to activate this feature.

• Please note that the Communication Camera is not included and must be purchased separately.

You can select the preferred color type for on-screen displays like the information banner, menu screen, and Home Screen.

The Option Menu allows you to confirm or change the status of the current programme or input.

1. Press the OPTION button to display the menu.

2. Use the up/down arrow buttons to select an item and press OK to access it. The available items vary depending on the TV mode and country.

3. Use the arrow buttons to change the setting and press OK to store it.

Radio Mode:

Sets a timer for turning off the screen automatically when a radio channel is selected, reducing power consumption.

After connecting an external device (VCR, DVD player, etc.), you can watch its content through the selected input.

Maintenance and Care:

• Store the 3D Eyewear in a cool, dry place.

• Clean the eyewear using a soft, dry cloth. To avoid scratching, shake any dust off the cloth before use.

• The lens is easily broken. Be careful when cleaning it.

• Do not use benzene, thinner, or wax on the eyewear as this may cause the paint to peel.

• Do not dunk the 3D Eyewear in liquid such as water.

• Do not exert pressure on or scratch the lens.

• Do not use the 3D Eyewear as sunglasses.

You can retune channels, create favourite lists, and edit the channel list in the Setting menu.

1. Select DVB or Analogue with the TV button.

2. Press MENU.

3. Select Setup > DVB Tuning Menu or Analogue Tuning Menu and press OK.

4. Select one of the following functions and press OK:

• Favourites Edit: Create up to 4 favourite channel lists from DVB broadcasters.

• Channel List: Hide (skip) unwanted channels or edit channel names and positions.

• Auto Setup: Automatically retunes all channels received in your area. All previous tuning settings are erased.

• Manual Tuning: Search for channels manually.

• Update Channel List: Adds new channels, deletes removed channels, or changes names and positions automatically while keeping your other settings.

You can record digital TV programmes to a connected USB HDD. The supported capacity is from 160 GB to 3 TB.

Preparation:

1. Connect the USB HDD to the USB 2 port on the TV using a USB cable.

2. Connect the USB HDD to a mains socket outlet.

Setting up for Recording:

You must format and set up the USB HDD for use with the TV. Please note this will erase all data on the USB HDD.

1. Press MENU.

2. Select Setup > USB Device Setup and press OK.

3. Select the USB HDD you want to use for recording and press OK to start the setup.

4. A caution and confirmation screen will appear. Select Yes with the arrow buttons and press OK to proceed with formatting.

Once set up, you can record the current programme or set timer recordings.

Caution: The data recorded on the USB HDD with this TV can only be played back on this specific TV.

These features require a USB HDD to be set up for recording. Ensure the remote control code is set to “73”.

One Touch Recording:

This records the current programme immediately.

1. You can set the maximum recording time (30/60/90/120/180 minutes) in the menu: Setup > Recording Setup > One Touch Recording.

2. While watching a programme, press the Record button (red circle) to start recording.

3. To stop recording, press the Stop button (square).

Rewind LIVE TV:

This records the current programme constantly, allowing you to pause and rewind live TV.

1. Press MENU.

2. Select Setup > Recording Setup > Rewind LIVE TV and press OK.

3. Select Auto to start the feature. Recording will begin automatically.

4. To operate, use the Pause, Rewind, and Playback buttons on your remote.

5. To stop Rewind LIVE TV, return to the menu and select Off. The recorded content will be deleted.

You can set a timer to be reminded to watch a programme or to record it to a USB HDD.

From the TV Guide:

1. Press GUIDE to open the TV Guide.

2. Select a forthcoming programme using the arrow buttons and press OK.

3. Select USB HDD Rec. or Reminder and press OK to set.

From the Menu:

1. Press MENU.

2. Select Timer > Timer Programming and press OK.

3. Press OK to start making settings.

4. Select USB HDD Rec. or Reminder.

5. Select the items (channel, date, start time, end time) and set them using the arrow buttons or Numeric buttons.

6. Store the event with OK.

Media Player allows you to enjoy photo, video, or music from an SD Card, USB Flash Memory, network device, or the formatted USB HDD.

1. Insert the SD Card or USB Flash Memory into the TV. Media Player may start automatically when an SD Card is inserted.

2. Alternatively, press the APPS button to display the APPS List.

3. Select Media Player and press OK.

4. Select the device (SD Card, USB, Network device) you want to access and press OK.

5. Select the content type (Photo, Video, Music, Recorded TV) and press OK.

6. A thumbnail view of your files will be displayed. Select a file with the arrow buttons and press OK to view or play.

You need a broadband network environment to use the internet service on your PANASONIC TX-60AS650B.

Wireless Connection:

Your TV has a built-in wireless LAN. You will need a wireless access point connected to your internet modem/router.

1. Press MENU.

2. Select Network > Network Connection and press OK.

3. Select Quick setup and press OK.

5. Enter your encryption key (password) and press OK to set.

The Voice Control function allows you to operate the TV (e.g., selecting a channel) and search for content with your speech. This requires a broadband network environment and pairing of the Touch Pad Controller.

How to use:

1. Press the microphone button on the Touch Pad Controller.

2. When the confirmation screen is displayed, read it carefully and start the Voice Control function.

3. The operation guide will be displayed. Follow the on-screen instructions and speak into the integrated microphone on the controller.

• To see a list of voice commands, press OPTION.

• To exit Voice Control, press BACK/RETURN.

For best results, speak clearly within about 15 cm of the microphone. The function may not work properly if your voice is too loud or too low, or if you are in a noisy environment.

You can lock specific channels or AV inputs to restrict access. When a locked item is selected, a PIN number is required to watch.

1. Press MENU.

2. Select Setup > Child Lock and press OK.

3. Enter your 4-digit PIN number using the Numeric buttons. (When setting for the first time, you will need to enter the PIN twice).

4. Select Child Lock List and press OK.

5. Select the channel or input you wish to lock with the up/down arrow buttons and press OK to lock it. A lock symbol will appear next to the locked item.

To cancel a lock, select the locked item and press OK again.

You can update the TV’s software automatically or manually.

Auto Update:

1. Press MENU.

2. Select Setup > System Menu > System Update > Auto Update Search in Standby and press OK.

3. Select On and press OK.

If a new software version is found, a notification message will appear, allowing you to install it now or in standby mode.

Manual Update:

1. Press MENU.

2. Select Setup > System Menu > System Update > System Update Search Now and press OK.

3. The TV will search for an update for several minutes. If one is found, a corresponding message will be displayed.

4. Select to download with OK.

Note: The download may take a few hours. Do not perform any other operations on the TV or switch it off during the download and update process.

Resetting the TV to its original condition (Shipping Condition) will erase all settings (channels, picture, sound, etc.), except for USB Device Setup.

1. Press MENU.

2. Select Setup > System Menu > Shipping Condition and press OK.

3. When the confirmation screen is displayed, select Yes with the left/right arrow buttons and press OK to set.

4. Follow the on-screen instructions. The Auto Setup process will start automatically after the reset.

You can use Bluetooth keyboards, mice, or audio devices (headphones, etc.) with your PANASONIC TX-60AS650B.

1. Press MENU.

2. Select Setup > Bluetooth Setup and press OK.

3. Select Devices and press OK. The TV will search for available devices and display their status.

• Ensure the correct input mode is selected.

• Check that all required cables and connections are firmly in place.

This can be caused by a weak DVB signal. Please try the following steps:

• Check the position, direction, and connection of your aerial.

• Check the Signal Condition in the menu (Tuning and editing channels > Signal Condition). If the Signal Quality is low, the DVB signal is weak. Connecting the aerial directly to the TV, bypassing other equipment like a Set top box or DVD recorder, may improve the signal.

• Weather conditions (heavy rain, snow, etc.) can affect signal reception, especially in poor reception areas.

• Try turning the TV off with the Mains Power On / Off switch, then turn it on again.

If there is no sound produced, please check these points:

• Is “Sound mute” active? Press the MUTE button to switch sound mute on or off.

• Is the volume set to the minimum?

• Check the connections and settings of any external equipment.

• Ensure that Speaker Selection (in the VIERA Link menu) is set to TV.

• Ensure that Speaker Setting (in the Sound menu) is set to TV Speaker.

If you are having trouble viewing 3D images, please check the following:

• Ensure that 3D Mode Selection is set to 3D.

• Some 3D image signals may not be automatically recognized as 3D images. In this case, you may need to set the 3D Mode Selection (Manual) to match the picture format.

• For some people, 3D images may be difficult to see, especially if there is a difference in eyesight between the left and right eyes. Corrective measures like wearing glasses may be necessary.

If you are having issues with the VIERA Link function:

• Check that all HDMI and other required cables are connected properly.

• Try turning the connected equipment on and then switching the TV on.

If your Touch Pad Controller is not working, try these solutions:

• Check if the batteries are installed correctly.

• The batteries may be running low. Replace them with new ones.

• Try to register the controller again through the Setup menu.

• Use the Touch Pad Controller within approximately 3.2 meters of the TV. The range can be shortened by obstacles between the TV and the controller or by the surrounding environment.
