To avoid harmful exposure to microwave energy when using your MIDEA MMW12VT45B, please follow these precautions:

(a) Do not attempt to operate this oven with the door open since this can result in harmful exposure to microwave energy. It is important not to break or tamper with the safety interlocks.

(b) Do not place any object between the oven front face and the door or allow soil or cleaner residue to accumulate on sealing surfaces.

(c) WARNING: If the door or door seals are damaged, the oven must not be operated until it has been repaired by a competent person.

Additionally, if the apparatus is not maintained in a good state of cleanliness, its surface could be degraded and affect the lifespan of the apparatus and lead to a dangerous situation.

Improper use of the grounding can result in electric shock. Do not plug into an outlet until the appliance is properly installed and grounded.

This appliance must be grounded. In the event of an electrical short circuit, grounding reduces the risk of electric shock by providing an escape wire for the electric current. This appliance is equipped with a cord having a grounding wire with a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an outlet that is properly installed and grounded.

Consult a qualified electrician or serviceman if the grounding instructions are not completely understood or if doubt exists as to whether the appliance is properly grounded.

If it is necessary to use an extension cord, use only a 3-wire extension cord.

1. A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the risks resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.

2. If a long cord set or extension cord is used:

1) The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance.

2) The extension cord must be a grounding-type 3-wire cord.

3) The long cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter top or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.

Be sure to unplug the appliance from the power supply before cleaning.

1. Clean the cavity of the oven after using with a slightly damp cloth.

2. Clean the accessories in the usual way in soapy water.

3. The door frame and seal and neighbouring parts must be cleaned carefully with a damp cloth when they are dirty.

4. Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners or sharp metal scrapers to clean the oven door glass since they can scratch the surface, which may result in shattering of the glass.

5. Cleaning Tip: For easier cleaning of the cavity walls that the food cooked can touch, place half a lemon in a bowl, add 300ml (1/2 pint) water and heat on 100% microwave power for 10 minutes. Wipe the oven clean using a soft, dry cloth.

There may be certain non-metallic utensils that are not safe to use for microwaving. If in doubt, you can test the utensil in question by following the procedure below.

Utensil Test:

• Fill a microwave-safe container with 1 cup of cold water (250ml) along with the utensil in question.

• Cook on maximum power for 1 minute.

• Carefully feel the utensil. If the empty utensil is warm, do not use it for microwave cooking.

• Do not exceed 1 minute cooking time.

The main parts of the oven are:

To put the turntable in place correctly:

1. Place the turntable ring assembly into the recess in the cooking compartment.

2. Place the glass tray on the turntable ring assembly. Fit the raised, curved lines in the center of the glass tray bottom between the three spokes of the shaft.

Make sure that the glass tray engages in the turntable shaft in the centre of the cooking compartment floor. The rollers on the shaft should fit inside the turntable bottom ridge.

Notes:

1. Never use the appliance without the turntable. Make sure that it is properly engaged. The turntable can turn clockwise or anti-clockwise.

2. Never place the glass tray upside down. The glass tray should never be restricted.

3. Both glass tray and turntable ring assembly must always be used during cooking.

4. All food and containers of food are always placed on the glass tray for cooking.

5. Never restrict the movement of the turntable.

6. If glass tray or turntable ring assembly cracks or breaks, contact your nearest authorized service center.

First, remove all packing material and accessories. Examine the oven for any damage such as dents or a broken door. Do not install if the oven is damaged. Remove any protective film found on the microwave oven cabinet surface, but do not remove the waveguide cover that is attached to the oven cavity to protect the magnetron.

1. Select a level surface that provides enough open space for the intake and/or outlet vents.

– The minimum installation height is 85cm.

– The rear surface of appliance shall be placed against a wall. Leave a minimum clearance of 30cm above the oven. A minimum clearance of 20cm is required between the oven and any adjacent walls.

– Do not remove the legs from the bottom of the oven.

– Blocking the intake and/or outlet openings can damage the oven.

– Place the oven as far away from radios and TV as possible. Operation of the microwave oven may cause interference to your radio or TV reception.

2. Plug your oven into a standard household outlet. Be sure the voltage and the frequency is the same as the voltage and the frequency on the rating label.

WARNING: Do not install oven over a range cooktop or other heat-producing appliance. If installed near or over a heat source, the oven could be damaged and the warranty would be void.

1. Press “TIMER/CLOCK” twice and then “00:00” will display.

2. Press the number keys to enter the current time. For example, if the time is 12:10, please press “1, 2, 1, 0” in turn.

3. Press “START/+30 SEC.” to confirm. The clock is set.

Notes:

• In the process of clock setting, if “STOP/CANCEL” is pressed or if there is no operation within 1 minute, the setting is invalid.

• To reset the clock, please repeat steps 1 to 3.

• The clock is a 12-hour display. If the clock is not set, it will not work when powered.

1. Press “TIMER/CLOCK” once and then “00:00” will display.

2. Press the number keys to set the desired time. The maximum time value is “99:99”.

3. Press “START/+30 SEC.” to confirm. The timer starts counting down.

Note: The kitchen timer is a timer and does not start a cooking function.

The MIDEA MMW12VT45B has 10 power levels available.

1. Press “MICRO.” once, and “PL10” will display.

2. Press “MICRO.” repeatedly or press the number keys to set the power level.

3. Press “START/+30 SEC.” to confirm.

4. Press the number keys to set the cooking time. The maximum time value is “99:99”.

5. Press “START/+30 SEC.” to start cooking.

(1) In standby mode, pressing the number keys 1 to 6 lets you quickly select a cooking time from 1 to 6 minutes at 100% power. Then you can press “START/+30 SEC.” to increase the cooking time. The maximum time value is “99:99”.

(2) In standby mode, press “START/+30 SEC.” once to cook food at 100% power level for 30 seconds. Each press on the same key can increase 30 seconds and the maximum time value is “99:99”.

Note: In the microwave and defrosting by time cooking state, each additional press on “START/+30 SEC.” can increase the cooking time by 30 seconds (except for defrosting by weight, melt/soften, popcorn, beverage, and sensor cook).

1. Press “WEIGHT DEFROST” once and the screen will display “dEF1”.

2. Press the number keys to set the weight of the food. The range of weight is 100-2000g.

3. Press “START/+30 SEC.” to start defrosting.

Note: The buzzer will sound to remind you to turn the food over during defrosting. If no operation, the oven will continue working.

1. Press “TIME DEFROST” once and the screen will display “dEF2”.

2. Press the number keys to set the desired defrosting time. The maximum time value is “99:99”.

3. Press “START/+30 SEC.” to start defrosting.

Notes:

(1) The buzzer will sound to remind you to turn the food over during defrosting. If no operation, the oven will continue working.

(2) The defrosting power is PL3 and it cannot be changed.

You can set up to two cooking stages. For example, to defrost food for 500g and then cook with 50% microwave power for 7 minutes:

1. Press “WEIGHT DEFROST” once and the screen will display “dEF1”.

2. Press “5”, “0”, and “0” to set the weight of the food to 500g.

3. Press “MICRO.” once, and “PL10” will display.

4. Press “MICRO.” repeatedly to set the power level to PL5 (50%).

5. Press “START/+30 SEC.” to confirm.

6. Press “7”, “0”, and “0” to set the cooking time to 7 minutes.

7. Press “START/+30 SEC.” to start cooking.

Notes:

(1) Two cooking stages can be set in multi-stage cooking.

(2) If you set the defrost function, it will work automatically in the first stage.

(3) The auto menu cannot be set as one of the multi-stage.

To activate the mute mode:

In standby mode, press and hold the number “8” key for 3 seconds. The buzzer will sound and “OFF” displays. When you press a key, it does not make a sound.

To deactivate the mute mode:

In mute mode, press and hold the number “8” key for 3 seconds. The buzzer will sound and “On” displays.

1. Press “MELT/SOFTEN” once and “1” displays.

2. Press “MELT/SOFTEN” repeatedly to choose the menu you need. The 3 menus are available.

3. Press “START/+30 SEC.” to confirm.

4. Press the number keys to set the weight of the food. The range of weight is 100-250g.

5. Press “START/+30 SEC.” to start cooking.

Melt/Soften Chart

1. Press “PASTA/POPCORN” twice and then “2” displays.

2. Press “START/+30 SEC.” to confirm.

3. Press “PASTA/POPCORN” repeatedly or press the corresponding number keys to set the weight of the food.

4. Press “START/+30 SEC.” to start cooking.

Pasta/Popcorn Chart

1. Press “BEVERAGE” once and then “250g” displays.

2. Press “START/+30 SEC.” to start cooking.

Sensor cook allows you to cook many of your favorite foods without selecting a cooking time and power level. The microwave oven automatically determines the required cooking time for each food item.

1. Press the corresponding menu button repeatedly to choose the desired menu you want. For example, press “POTATO” twice and then “2” displays for Jacket Sweet Potato.

2. Press “START/+30 SEC.” to start sensing.

3. When the sensing is complete, the calculated cooking time will start to count down.

Sensor Cook Chart

You can use this function to disable the screen buttons and prevent your children from accidentally turning the oven on.

To activate the lock:

In standby mode, press and hold “STOP/CANCEL” for three seconds. A beep sounds and the locked icon will display.

To deactivate the lock:

In the locked state, press and hold “STOP/CANCEL” for three seconds. A beep sounds.

To enter ECO mode:

In standby mode and the oven door is closed, then press the number “0” (ECO) key once. The screen will turn off.

To cancel ECO mode:

In ECO mode, pressing any key or opening the door will cancel it.

(1) If the clock has been set, the current time will display for three seconds by pressing “TIMER/CLOCK” once in the cooking state.

(2) In the microwave cooking state, press “MICRO.” to inquire about the power level. It will display for three seconds.

Microwave oven interfering TV reception: Radio and TV reception may be interfered with when the microwave oven is operating. It is similar to the interference of small electrical appliances, like a mixer, vacuum cleaner, and electric fan. It is normal.

Dim oven light: In low power microwave cooking, the oven light may become dim. It is normal.

Steam accumulating on door, hot air out of vents: In cooking, steam may come out of food. Most will get out from vents. But some may accumulate on a cool place like the oven door. It is normal.

Oven started accidentally with no food in: It is forbidden to run the unit without any food inside. It is very dangerous.
