• Do not drink the water drained from the product.

• Use a firm stool or ladder when cleaning or maintaining the product.

You can select an operation mode by pressing the [<,>(left/right)] button on the main screen to highlight the mode category, then use the [^, V (up/down)] button to choose a mode. Some products may not support all modes.

To use the cooling operation:

1. Set the desired temperature lower than the indoor temperature.

2. The minimum setting temperature is 18°C (or 20°C for UAE models). The temperature can be set in units of 1°C or 0.5°C depending on the indoor unit type.

3. If the setpoint is higher than the room temperature, the unit will not start cooling until the room temperature exceeds the setpoint.

4. Pressing the [On/Off] button while in cooling mode will shut off the operation.

Please note there is a 3-minute delay function to protect the compressor. After the unit stops, the compressor will wait 3 minutes before starting again.

The cool mode temperature setting range is:

• Common: 18°C~30°C (64°F~86°F)

• UAE Only: 20°C~30°C (68°F~86°F)

The Dry Operation is used to dehumidify the room. The initial fan speed is set to “Low”, and this mode does not have a separate desired temperature setting. It effectively removes moisture, especially during the rainy season or when humidity is high. Pressing the [On/Off] button during this operation will shut it off.

The Fan Only Operation recirculates indoor air without cooling or heating. The initial fan strength is “High”, and there is no separate temperature setting for this mode. Pressing the [On/Off] button during this operation will stop the unit.

To use the heating operation:

1. Set the desired temperature higher than the current indoor temperature.

2. The minimum setting temperature is 16°C. You can select a desired temperature in the range of 16°C ~ 30°C.

3. If the desired temperature is set lower than the indoor temperature, warm air will not come out. On some products, the fan may recirculate room air or stop altogether.

4. Pressing the [On/Off] button while in heating mode will shut off the operation.

Note: The heating function is not available on cooling-exclusive models.

In the main screen, press the [<,>(left/right)] button to select the desired temperature category, and then press the [^, V (up/down)] button to set the temperature. Temperature control is possible in Cooling, Heating, and Auto modes.

You can check the current indoor temperature on the main screen of the remote controller. Please note that due to the location of the temperature sensor, there may be a slight difference between the displayed temperature and the actual room temperature.

The remote controller will display ‘LO’ or ‘HI’ if the temperature is outside of its measurable range:

Single setpoint:

• Fahrenheit: Displays ‘LO’ below 52°F and ‘HI’ over 99°F.

• Celsius: Displays ‘LO’ below 10.5°C and ‘HI’ over 39.5°C.

Dual setpoints:

• Fahrenheit: Displays ‘LO’ below 34°F and ‘HI’ over 99°F.

• Celsius: Displays ‘LO’ below 0.5°C and ‘HI’ over 39.5°C.

1. From the menu screen, press the [<,>(left/right)] button to select the “lock setting” category.

2. Press the [OK] button to move to the lock setting list screen.

3. In the lock setting list, use the [^, V (up/down)] button to select a lock function and turn it on or off.

The following lock functions are available:

When it is time to clean the indoor unit filter, a cleaning message will appear. You can check the filter status and reset the reminder as follows:

1. Enter the menu screen and use the [<,>(left/right)] button to select the “Setting” category, then press [OK].

2. Select the “Function” category and press [OK].

3. In the function setting list, select “Filter Sign” and press [OK] to display the detail screen.

4. On this screen, you can see the filter usage time and remaining time. Press “Reset” to initialize the timer after cleaning the filter.

The filter usage status is displayed as follows:

Smart Load Control (SLC) is a function that calculates the indoor air temperature, outdoor air temperature, and humidity to operate the unit more effectively. You can change the SLC stage value.

1. Enter the “Function” setting list.

2. Select the “Smart Load Control” category and press [OK] to move to the detail screen.

3. Use the up/down buttons to select a setting from Off or Step 0 to Step 4.

The SLC function can only be set when the installer setting’s outdoor unit function M/S setting is set to “Master”. It is only available on some products, and Step 4 may not be available on some indoor unit products.

You can set various timers through the remote controller’s menu.

1. In the menu screen, press the [<,>(left/right)] button to select the timer category, and press [OK].

2. In the timer setting list screen, press the [^, V (up/down)] button to select the timer you wish to set (Simple Timer, Turn-On Reservation, Turn-Off Reservation) and press [OK].

3. Follow the on-screen instructions to set the time/duration.

4. After setting the value, press [OK] to activate the timer.

Simple Timer:

• Sets the timer in the range of 1-7 hours in 1-hour increments.

• If the product is ON, the timer will turn it OFF after the set time. If the product is OFF, it will turn ON.

Turn-on Reservation:

• The product will automatically turn ON at the set time.

Turn-off Reservation:

• The product will automatically turn OFF at the set time.

For reservation timers, the setting is not cleared even if the unit is turned On/Off manually before the timer operates.

To add a new operating schedule, follow these stages:

1. Navigate to the “Schedules & Edit” screen and select “+ Add Schedule”.

2. Stage 1: Period setting – Set the start and end date for the schedule to be active.

3. Stage 2: Day of week setting – Set the day(s) of the week for the timer to perform. You can select ‘Everyday / Weekend / Weekdays / Individual selection’.

4. Stage 3: Time setting – Set the start time for the timer.

5. Stage 4: Operation setting – Set the timer operation information. This includes Operation (On/Off/Stop), Mode, Temperature, and Fan Speed. If ‘Stop’ is selected, you cannot set the other parameters.

When stages 1-4 are completed, a message ‘schedule is added’ will appear, and you will be moved to the View and edit schedule screen.

The Exception Day function automatically stops the scheduled operation on a set timer day.

1. In the schedule list, select the “Exception Day” category and press [OK].

2. To add an exception day, select “+ Add exception day”, designate the year/month/day, and press [OK] to save.

3. To edit an existing exception day, select it from the list using the [^, V (up/down)] button and press [OK].

4. In the edit screen, you can delete or change the corresponding exception day’s settings. You must save any changes.

Before performing any maintenance, turn off the main power to the system. Before removing access panels, disconnect the power supply.

You can perform the following periodic maintenance:

• Cleaning Air Filters: This product has washable filters. Inspect them at least once a month (or every week for the first 4 weeks in new buildings). Wash the filters with a mild detergent and water. Ensure they are thoroughly dry before reinstalling them.

• Cleaning Condenser Coil: Unfiltered air can clog the condenser coil with dust and dirt. To clean the coil, vertically (along the fins) stroke the coil surface with a soft-bristled brush.

• General Inspection: Keep all vegetation away from the condenser coil area and conduct a general unit inspection on a regular basis.

To keep your unit operating safely and efficiently, a qualified serviceman should check the entire system at least once each year. The serviceman may examine these areas:

1. Filters (for cleaning)

2. Motors and drive system components

3. Condenser coils (for cleaning)

4. Safety controls (for mechanical cleaning)

5. Electrical components and wiring (for possible replacement or connection tightness)

6. Condensate drain (for cleaning)

7. Inspect the unit duct connections to ensure they are physically sound and sealed to the unit casing.

8. Inspect the unit mounting support to see that it is sound.

9. Inspect the unit to ensure there is no obvious deterioration.

1. Operate the air conditioner on air circulation mode (Fan Only mode) for 2 to 3 hours. This will dry out the internal parts.

2. Turn off the circuit breaker. Dirt may collect and may cause a fire if left on.

1. Clean the air filter and re-install it in the indoor side. A “Filter access panel” label is attached on the filter access panel at the left side of the unit.

2. Check that the air inlet and outlet of the indoor/outdoor unit are not blocked.

If your unit does not operate, check the following:

• Have you made a mistake in timer operation? See reservation instructions.

• Has the fuse blown or has the circuit breaker been tripped?

• Does the remote controller display “CH” on the LCD? This means a protective device has been tripped. Please contact your dealer or service center.

Check that this is not a damp smell exuded by the walls, carpet, furniture, or cloth items in the room.

Condensation occurs when the airflow from the air conditioner cools the warm air in the room. This is a normal occurrence.

This is a normal function of the air conditioner’s protection device, which prevents the compressor from being damaged. Wait about three minutes and the operation will begin.

If you experience ineffective cooling or heating, please check the following points:

• Is the air filter dirty? See air filter cleaning instructions.

• The room may have been very hot when the air conditioner was first turned on. Allow time for it to cool down.

• Has the setting temperature been set incorrectly? See temperature setting instructions.

• Are the unit’s air inlet or outlet vents obstructed?

Check if the circuit breaker has been tripped. If it has, reset it. If the problem persists, contact a service center.

The unit has an Outage Compensation Function. It automatically retrieves the previous operating conditions when power is restored. You do not need to press any buttons. (Note: Additional functions will not be retrieved automatically.)
