To attach the stand to your LG 39LB5610-ZC TV, follow these general steps based on the diagrams provided. Note that there are different stand types for different models in the series.

1. Identify your stand parts: Stand Base A and Stand Base B.

2. Place the TV screen facing down on a cushioned table or flat surface to protect the screen from scratches.

3. Align the Stand Base A and Stand Base B with the corresponding slots on the bottom of the TV.

4. Secure the stand parts to the TV using the provided screws. The screw type is M4 x L14.

Connect the TV to a wall antenna socket using an RF cable (75 Ω).

Notes:

• To use more than two TVs, use a signal splitter.

• If the image quality is poor, install a signal amplifier correctly to improve it.

• If the image quality is poor with an antenna connected, try realigning the antenna in the correct direction.

• An antenna cable and converter are not supplied.

• Supported DTV Audio for the LG 39LB5610-ZC includes: MPEG, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, and HE-AAC.

For satellite models in the series, connect the TV to a satellite dish and a satellite socket using a satellite RF cable (75 Ω).

The Euro Scart connection transmits video and audio signals from an external device to your TV. Connect the external device and the TV with a Euro Scart cable. Ensure any Euro Scart cable used is signal shielded.

The signal output type from the AV1 (TV Out) port depends on the current input mode:

You can connect various external devices to your LG 39LB5610-ZC TV. It is recommended to connect external devices regardless of the order of the TV ports.

Available connections include:

• HDMI: For the best picture and audio quality, connect devices like DVD/Blu-Ray players, HD Cable Boxes, HD STB, PCs, or gaming consoles using an HDMI cable. Some models have an MHL-compatible HDMI port for mobile devices.

• USB: Connect USB storage devices to the USB IN port.

• Component IN: Connect devices like DVD/Blu-Ray players using a component cable (Green, Blue, Red for video) and an audio cable (Red, White).

• AV IN: Connect devices like DVD/Blu-Ray players or VCRs using a composite AV cable (Yellow for video, Red/White for audio).

• Optical Digital Audio Out: Connect to a Digital Audio System for high-quality sound.

• Headphone Out (H/P OUT): Connect headphones.

• Antenna/Cable IN: Connect a wall antenna or cable TV service.

• Satellite IN: For satellite models, connect a satellite dish.

• PCMCIA Card Slot: For inserting a CI Module.

Note for PC connection: In PC mode, noise may be associated with resolution, vertical pattern, contrast, or brightness. If noise is present, change the PC output to another resolution, change the refresh rate, or adjust the brightness and contrast on the PICTURE menu until the picture is clear. Some resolution settings may not work properly depending on the graphics card.

When unpacking your LG 39LB5610-ZC, check the product box for all items. If any accessories are missing, contact the local dealer where you purchased the product.

Cautions:

• Do not use any unapproved items to ensure safety and product life span. Any damages or injuries from using unapproved items are not covered by the warranty.

• Some models have a thin film attached to the screen which must not be removed.

• For an optimal connection, HDMI cables and USB devices should have bezels less than 10 mm thick and 18 mm wide. Use an extension cable that supports USB 2.0 if the USB cable or USB memory stick does not fit into your TV’s USB port.

The Joystick button is located below the TV screen and allows you to operate basic TV functions by pressing or moving it up, down, left, or right.

Basic Functions

Adjusting the Menu

When the TV is on, press the joystick button once. You can then adjust Menu items by moving the joystick up, down, left, or right.

Note: When you move your finger over the joystick button, be careful not to press it. If you press the joystick button first, you cannot adjust the volume level and saved programmes.

To prevent scratches or damage, please follow this advice for safe transportation:

• Avoid touching the screen at all times.

• It is recommended to move the TV in the box or packing material it originally came in.

• Before moving or lifting, disconnect the power cord and all cables.

• When holding the TV, the screen should face away from you to avoid damage.

• Hold the top and bottom of the TV frame firmly. Do not hold the transparent part, speaker, or speaker grill area.

• For a large TV, at least 2 people are required for transport.

• When transporting by hand, hold the TV as shown in the illustrations.

• Do not expose the TV to jolts or excessive vibration during transport.

• Keep the TV upright; never turn it on its side or tilt it left or right.

• Do not apply excessive pressure that could cause the frame chassis to flex or bend, as it may damage the screen.

Mounting on a table:

1. Lift and tilt the TV into its upright position on a table.

2. Leave a 10 cm (minimum) space from the wall for proper ventilation.

3. Connect the power cord to a wall outlet.

CAUTION: Do not place the TV near or on sources of heat, as this may result in fire or other damage.

Securing the TV to a wall (to prevent tipping):

1. Insert and tighten the eye-bolts, or TV brackets and bolts, on the back of the TV. If there are already bolts in the eye-bolt position, remove them first.

2. Mount the wall brackets with bolts to the wall. Match the location of the wall bracket and the eye-bolts on the rear of the TV.

3. Connect the eye-bolts and wall brackets tightly with a sturdy rope. Make sure to keep the rope horizontal with the flat surface.

CAUTION: Make sure that children do not climb on or hang on the TV.

NOTE: Use a platform or cabinet that is strong and large enough to support the TV securely. Brackets, bolts, and ropes are not provided and can be obtained from your local dealer.

To mount your LG 39LB5610-ZC on a wall, use a wall mount bracket that meets the VESA standard. LG recommends that wall mounting be performed by a qualified professional installer.

Cautions:

• Disconnect the power first before moving or installing the TV.

• Use an authorized LG wall mount. If you install the TV on a ceiling or slanted wall, it may fall and result in severe injury.

• Do not over-tighten the screws, as this may cause damage and void your warranty.

• Use screws and wall mounts that meet the VESA standard. Damages or injuries from misuse are not covered by the warranty.

Wall Mounting Bracket Specifications:

The descriptions for the remote control (Only LB55**, LB56** models) are as follows. Make sure to point the remote control toward the remote control sensor on the TV.

To automatically tune the programmes on your LG 39LB5610-ZC, navigate to SETTINGS → SETUP → Auto Tuning.

• This function automatically finds and stores available programmes.

• If the Input Source is not connected properly, programme registration may not work.

• Auto Tuning only finds programmes that are currently broadcasting.

• If the Lock System is turned on, a pop-up window will appear asking for a password.

You can calibrate and adjust for optimum picture quality using the Picture Wizard. Navigate to SETTINGS → PICTURE → Picture Wizard III.

This feature allows you to adjust the picture using the remote control without needing expensive pattern devices or specialist help.

To select a picture mode optimized for your viewing environment or programme, go to SETTINGS → PICTURE → Picture Mode. The available modes are:

• Vivid: Heightens contrast, brightness, and sharpness to display vivid images.

• Standard: Displays images in standard levels of contrast, brightness, and sharpness.

• Eco/APS: The Energy Saver feature changes settings on the TV to reduce power consumption.

• Cinema/Game: Displays the optimum picture for movies and games.

• Sports: Optimizes the video image for high and dynamic actions by emphasizing primary colours such as white, grass, or sky blue.

• Expert 1, 2: A menu for adjusting picture quality that allows experts and amateurs to enjoy the best TV viewing. This is the adjustment menu provided for ISF-certified picture tuning professionals.

To calibrate the screen for each picture mode or adjust picture settings for a special screen, navigate to SETTINGS → PICTURE → Picture Mode → Advanced Control / Expert Control. First, select a Picture Mode, then you can adjust the following settings:

• Dynamic Contrast: Adjusts the contrast to the optimal level according to the brightness of the image.

• Dynamic Colour: Adjusts colours to make the image appear in more natural colours.

• Skin Colour: Sets the skin colour spectrum separately.

• Sky Colour: Sky colour is set separately.

• Grass Colour: Natural colour spectrum (meadows, hills, etc.) can be separately set.

• Gamma: Sets the gradation curve according to the output of the picture signal in relation to the input signal.

• Colour Gamut: Selects the range of colours that can be expressed.

• Edge Enhancer: Shows clearer and distinctive yet natural edges of the video.

• Colour Filter: Filters a specific colour spectrum in RGB colours to fine-tune colour saturation and hue accurately.

• Colour Temperature: Adjusts the overall tone of the screen as desired.

• Colour Management System: A system for experts to use when they adjust colour with a test pattern.

To reduce power consumption by adjusting screen brightness, go to SETTINGS → PICTURE → Energy Saving.

• Auto: The TV sensor detects the ambient lighting and automatically adjusts the screen brightness.

• Off: Turns off the Energy Saving mode.

• Minimum / Medium / Maximum: Applies the pre-set Energy Saving mode.

• Screen Off: The screen is turned off and only sound is played. Press any button except the Power button on the remote control to turn the screen back on.

You can choose where the sound is output from your LG 39LB5610-ZC.

• To use the TV speakers: Go to SETTINGS → AUDIO → Sound Out → TV Speaker. Sound is output through the TV speaker.

• To use an external speaker (Optical): Go to SETTINGS → AUDIO → Sound Out → External Speaker (Optical). Sound is output through the speaker connected to the optical port. SimpLink is supported with this option.

• To use headphones: Go to SETTINGS → AUDIO → Sound Out → Headphone. Sound is output through the headphone/earphone port.

To set up the Digital Sound Out when using an external optical speaker, navigate to SETTINGS → AUDIO → Sound Out → External Speaker (Optical) → Digital Sound Out.

The output format depends on the audio input:

If the video and audio are not synchronized, you can adjust it directly. Go to SETTINGS → AUDIO → AV Sync. Adjust.

If you set AV Sync. Adjust to ON, you can adjust the sound output (TV speakers or SPDIF) to match the screen image.

SIMPLINK is a feature that enables you to control and manage various multimedia devices conveniently via the SIMPLINK menu using your TV remote. This function is only compatible with devices that have the SIMPLINK logo.

Setup:

1. Connect the TV’s HDMI IN terminal to the SIMPLINK device’s HDMI output terminal using a high-speed HDMI® cable (with CEC feature added).

2. Select INPUT(OPTION) → SIMPLINK. The SIMPLINK menu window will appear.

3. In the SIMPLINK Setting window, set the SIMPLINK function to ON.

4. In the SIMPLINK menu window, select the device you want to control.

SIMPLINK Functions:

• Direct Play: Plays the multimedia device on the TV instantly.

• Select multimedia device: Selects the desired device via the SIMPLINK menu to control it from the TV screen instantly.

• Disc playback: Manages the multimedia device with the TV remote control.

• Power off all devices: When you power off the TV, all connected devices are turned off.

• Sync Power on: When the equipment with SIMPLINK function connected to the HDMI terminal starts to play, the TV will automatically turn on.

• Speaker: Select the speaker on either the home theatre unit or the TV.

To set or change the TV password, go to SETTINGS → LOCK → Set Password.

The initial password is set to ‘0000’.

To delete all stored information and reset the TV settings, navigate to SETTINGS → OPTION → Factory Reset.

The TV will turn itself off and back on, and all settings will be reset.

• If the Lock System is in place, a pop-up window will appear and ask for the password.

• Do not turn off the power during initialization.

To remove a USB device:

Go to Q.MENU → USB Device and select the USB storage device you want to remove. When you see a message that the USB device has been removed, you can safely separate it from the TV.

Warnings for using a USB storage device:

• If the USB storage device has a built-in auto recognition program or uses its own driver, it may not work.

• Use only USB storage devices formatted with the Windows FAT32 or NTFS File System.

• For external USB HDDs, it is recommended to use devices with a rated voltage of less than 5 V and a rated current of less than 500 mA.

• It is recommended to use USB memory sticks of 32 GB or less and USB HDDs of 1 TB or less.

• If a USB HDD with a power-saving function does not work properly, turn the power off and on.

• Data in the USB storage device can be damaged, so be sure to back up important files to other devices. Data maintenance is the user’s responsibility.

Clean your TV regularly to keep the best performance and to extend its lifespan.

CAUTION: Make sure to turn the power off and disconnect the power cord and all other cables first. When the TV is left unattended for a long time, disconnect the power cord to prevent damage from lightning or power surges.

Screen, frame, cabinet and stand:

• To remove dust or light dirt, wipe the surface with a dry, clean, and soft cloth.

• To remove major dirt, wipe the surface with a soft cloth dampened in clean water or a diluted mild detergent. Then wipe immediately with a dry cloth.

Further Cautions:

• Avoid touching the screen at all times, as this may result in damage.

• Do not push, rub, or hit the screen surface with your fingernail or a sharp object, as this may result in scratches and image distortions.

• Do not use any chemicals as this may damage the product.

• Do not spray liquid onto the surface. If water enters the TV, it may result in fire, electric shock, or malfunction.

Power cord:

Remove the accumulated dust or dirt on the power cord regularly.

If there is no image display and no sound is produced, please check the following:

• Check if the product is turned on.

• Check if the power cord is connected to a wall outlet.

• Check if there is a problem in the wall outlet by connecting other products.

If your TV turns off suddenly, please check the following:

• Check the power control settings. The power supply may be interrupted.

• Check if the Automatic Standby / Sleep Timer / Off Time feature is activated in the TIME settings.

• If there is no signal while the TV is on, it will turn off automatically after 15 minutes of inactivity.

If you cannot control the TV with the remote control, try the following solutions:

• Check the remote control sensor on the product and try again.

• Check if there is any obstacle between the product and the remote control.

• Check if the batteries are still working and are properly installed.

If you see a ‘No signal’ or ‘Invalid Format’ message when connected to a PC via HDMI, please follow these steps:

• Turn the TV off and then on again using the remote control.

• Reconnect the HDMI cable.

• Restart the PC with the TV on.
