Note: These are approximate measures. They do not include amps and wattage used by the light kit.

The following tools are required:

• Phillips screwdriver
• Flat blade screwdriver
• Step ladder
• Wire stripper
• Electrical tape

To prepare the canopy:

Remove the canopy ring (C) from the canopy (D).

Remove the two non-slotted canopy mounting screw (BB) from the canopy (D), and loosen the slotted canopy mounting screw (BB) on the canopy (D).

Remove the canopy (D) from the mounting bracket (A) by turning the canopy (D) counterclockwise.

To prepare the motor:

Remove the cotter pin (DD) and clevis pin (CC), and loosen the two collar setscrews (EE) from the fan motor assembly (H) collar.

To assemble the fan:

If a longer downrod is needed (not included), take out the screw located in the hanger ball, lower the hanger ball and remove the pin. Remove all three pieces from the downrod, and assemble them onto the new longer downrod before proceeding step 3.

Route the wires exiting from the top of the fan motor assembly (H) through the coupling cover (G), canopy ring (C), canopy (D) and then through the hanger ball/downrod assembly (F).

Align the holes at the bottom of the hanger ball/downrod assembly (F) with the holes in the collar on top of the fan motor assembly (H).

Carefully insert the clevis pin (CC) through the holes in the collar and the hanger ball/downrod assembly (F). Be careful not to jam the clevis pin (CC) against the wiring inside the hanger ball/downrod assembly (F).

Insert the cotter pin (DD) through the hole near the end of the clevis pin (CC) until it snaps into the locked position.

Firmly tighten the two collar setscrews (EE) on top of the fan motor assembly (H).

To prepare the canopy:

Remove the mounting bracket (A) from the canopy (D) by loosening the four canopy mounting screws (BB) on the top of the canopy (D). Remove the two non-slotted canopy mounting screws (BB) and loosen the slotted canopy mounting screws (BB).

Remove the canopy bottom cover (E) from the canopy (D).

To prepare the motor:

Remove three of the six collar mounting screws with lock washers (FF) (every other one) from the collar on top of the fan motor assembly (H).

To assemble the fan:

Make sure the slot openings of the canopy ring (C) are on top, and then proceed to place the canopy ring (C) and canopy (D) over the collar at the top of the fan motor assembly (H).

Align the mounting holes in the bottom of the canopy (D) with the holes in the top of the fan motor assembly (H), and fasten using the three collar mounting screws with lock washers (FF) previously removed.

Tighten the collar mounting screws (FF) securely.

Pass the 120-volt supply wires through the center hole in the mounting bracket (A).

Attach the mounting bracket (A) on the outlet box (PP) by sliding the mounting bracket (A) over the screws provided with the outlet box. When using “close-to-ceiling” mounting, it is important that the mounting bracket (A) be level. If necessary, use leveling washers (not included) between the mounting bracket (A) and the outlet box (PP). Note that the flat side of the mounting bracket (A) is toward the outlet box (PP).

Securely tighten the two mounting screws.

Carefully lift the fan motor assembly (H) up to the mounting bracket (A) and seat the hanger ball (F) in the mounting bracket (A) socket. Make sure the tab on the mounting bracket (A) socket is properly seated in the groove in the hanger ball (F). This will help to balance the ceiling fan.

Carefully lift the fan motor assembly (H) up to the mounting bracket (A) and hang the fan on the hook provided using one of the holes at the outer rim of the canopy (D).

Motor to filter electrical connections:

Connect the ground conductor of the 120V supply (this may be a bare wire or a wire with green colored insulation) to the green ground lead(s) of the fan. When using standard ceiling mounting, there are two green grounding leads: one from the mounting bracket (A) and one from the hanger ball/downrod assembly (F). When using “close-to-ceiling” mounting, there is only one green ground lead from the mounting bracket (A) since the hanger ball/downrod assembly (F) is not used.

Connect the fan motor white wire to the filter (B) white (neutral) wire marked “N1” using a plastic wire nut (AA).

Connect the fan motor black wire and the blue wire to the filter (B) black (hot) wire marked “L1” using a plastic wire nut (AA).

Filter to house supply wires electrical connections:

Connect the black (hot) wire from the ceiling to the black wire marked “AC IN L” from the filter (B).

Connect the white (neutral) wire from the ceiling to the white wire marked “AC IN N” from the filter (B).

Secure each wire connection with a plastic wire nut provided with the electrical hardware.

Turn the wire nut connections upward, spreading them apart so the green (ground) will be on one side of the outlet box (PP) and the white, black and blue wire will be on the other side. Carefully tuck the connections up into the outlet box (PP).

Slide the canopy (D) up to the ceiling. Make sure you have placed the wires safely into the outlet box (PP).

Secure the canopy (D) to the mounting bracket (A) with the four canopy mounting screws with lock washers (BB) included with your fan.

Remove the fan from the hook on the mounting bracket (A).

Secure the canopy (D) to the mounting bracket (A) with the four canopy mounting screws with lock washers (BB) provided.

The fan motor assembly (H) is shipped with rubber packing mounts (RR) to prevent movement during transportation. Remove the five rubber packing mounts (RR) from the fan motor assembly (H) and discard prior to attaching the blade arms (J).

To install the blade to the blade arm:

Hold the blade (I) with hands close to the blade arm (J), align the key-slot holes (SS) with the blade arm posts (TT) and press the blade down firmly. Ensure the key-slot holes (SS) are properly seated on the blade arm posts (TT).

Firmly slide the blade (I) away from the blade arm (J) until the blade (I) engages in the spring locking mechanism (UU). Make sure the spring of the spring locking mechanism (UU) is upward and the butt of the spring locking mechanism (UU) is against the edge of the blade.

To detach the blade from the blade arm:

Press down the spring locking mechanism (UU) to release the blade (I) from the blade arm (J). Slide the blade (I) toward the blade arm (J) until the blade (I) disengages from the spring locking mechanism (UU). Carefully push the blade (I) up to detach from the blade arm (J).

Fasten the blade assemblies to the fan motor assembly (H) by lining up the holes of the blade arms (J) and the motor (H).

Tighten the two blade arm screws with lock washers (GG) already installed in the blade arms (J).

Repeat this procedure for the remaining blade arms (J).

Remove one of the three light kit mounting plate screws (HH) from the mounting ring (VV) and loosen the other two screws. (Do not remove.)

Place the key holes in the light kit mounting plate (K) over the two screws (HH) previously loosened from the mounting ring (VV). Turn the light kit mounting plate (K) until the light kit mounting plate (K) locks in place at the narrow section of the key holes.

Securely tighten the two light kit mounting plate screws (HH) previously loosened and the one (HH) previously removed.

Remove three light kit mounting screws (II) from the mounting plate (K).

While holding the light kit (L) under the fan motor assembly (H), snap together the wire connection plugs (WW).

Secure the light kit (L) to the mounting plate (K) with the three light kit mounting screws (II) previously removed.

Remove the decorative nut (LL), glass cap (KK) and nut (JJ) from the light kit (L).

Install the 2 x 9.5W LED bulb (MM) (included).

While holding the glass shade (M), slip the pull chain (XX) from the switch housing into the outside hole in the glass shade (M).

Feed the pull chain (YY) from the light kit stem through the eyelet in the glass shade (M).

Place the glass shade (M) over the light kit stem. Secure the glass shade (M) with the metal nut (JJ).

Fit the glass cap (KK) onto the light kit stem and then slip the pull chain (XX) through the hole on the side of the glass cap (KK).

Feed the pull chain (YY) from the light kit stem through the glass cap (KK) and the decorative nut (LL), and then thread the decorative nut (LL) on securely. Do not overtighten.

Disassemble the switch housing (ZZ) from the light kit (L). You can keep the light kit (L) for future use.

Attach the plastic plug (OO) to the switch housing (ZZ).

While holding the switch housing (ZZ) under the fan, snap together the wire connection plugs (WW).

Install the switch housing (ZZ) to the light kit mounting plate (K) with light kit mounting screws (II) provided.

Install two pull chains and fobs (NN) onto the pull chains located in the light kit (L) and switch housing (ZZ). Turn on the power and check the operation of the fan.

The pull chain controls the fan speed as follows:

1 pull – High

2 pulls – Medium high

3 pulls – Medium

4 pulls – Low

5 pulls – Off.

To turn the light kit on or off, pull the chain that is attached to the light kit (L).

The reverse switch is located on the surface of the switch housing.

Slide the switch to the left for warm weather operation. A downward air flow creates a cooling effect. This allows you to set your air conditioner on a warmer setting without affecting your comfort.

Slide the switch to the right for cool weather operation. An upward air flow moves warm air off the ceiling. This allows you to set your heating unit on a cooler setting without affecting your comfort.

Note: Wait for the fan to stop before reversing the direction of the blade rotation.

Check the support connections, brackets, and blade attachments twice a year. Make sure they are secure. Because of the fan’s natural movement, some connections may become loose over time. It is not necessary to remove the fan from the ceiling.

Clean your fan periodically. Use only a soft brush or lint-free cloth to avoid scratching the finish. The plating is sealed with a lacquer to minimize discoloration or tarnishing.

(Optional) Apply a light coat of furniture polish to the wood blades.

(Optional) Cover small scratches with a light application of shoe polish.

Do not use water when cleaning. Water could damage the motor, or the wood, or possibly cause an electrical shock.

Do not apply oil to your fan or motor. The motor has permanently-lubricated sealed ball bearings.

Check the main and branch circuit fuses or breakers.

Check the line wire connections to the fan and switch wire connections in the switch housing.

Make sure all motor housing screws are snug.

Make sure the screws that attach the fan blade arm to the motor hub are tight.

Make sure wire nut connections are not rattling against each other or the interior wall of the switch housing.

Allow a 24-hour “breaking-in” period. Most noises associated with a new fan disappear during this time.

If using the ceiling light kit, check the light bulb is secure.

Make sure there is a short distance from the ceiling to the canopy. It should not touch the ceiling.

Make sure your ceiling box is secure and rubber isolator pads are used between the mounting bracket and outlet box.

Verify that all blades and blade bracket screws are secure (most fan wobble problems are caused by loose parts). Once the fan is properly installed, run the ceiling fan for 10 minutes to let the fan self-adjust.

If wobble occurs after running the fan for 10 minutes, verify blade level using the following process:

Select a point on the ceiling above the tip of one of the blades, then select any fan blade and measure from the center of the selected blade to the point on the ceiling. Rotate the fan until the next blade is positioned and repeat the measurement using the same point from the ceiling for every blade. Measurement deviations should be within 1/8 in..
