You can install the EXTREME 5120-24XT-4Y-AC-R in a standard 19-inch equipment rack. The switch can be installed in a two-post rack or in a four-post rack using just the two front posts for forward mounting or two back posts for rear mounting. The rack mount kit supports flush-mounting and mid-mounting.

Follow these steps for a two-post mount:

1. Attach a mounting bracket to each side of the switch. You can attach the brackets at the front of the switch (flush-mount), at the middle of the switch (mid-mount), or at the rear of the switch.

2. Secure the brackets to the rack posts using rack-mounting screws and nuts that are appropriate for the rack (provided). The switch can be mounted to the two front posts or the two rear posts as shown.

The EXTREME 5120-24XT-4Y-AC-R runs on AC power. To attach the switch to a power source, do the following:
