Ensure water flows in the direction of the arrows on the unit. Install a non-return valve downstream if upstream or downstream circuits are higher. Use an anti-siphoning valve if there is a risk of siphoning. Do not install above a container of acid or aggressive product. Use suitable tools, protective clothing, and safety glasses. Ensure water flow and pressure are compliant with the specifications. Only perform assembly and tightening manually without tools.

Remove protective caps from the openings. Engage the DOSATRON D40MZ3000 dovetails into the mounting bracket. Connect to the water supply line using 40 mm interior diameter flexible pipes fixed with 1 1/2 inch swivel fittings. Ensure the water flows in the direction of the arrows. Assembly should be carried out without tools.

Unscrew the fixing nut on the dosing part by hand. Release the dosing part by pulling it downwards. Rotate the dosing part half a turn to view the desired scale. Reinsert and manually retighten the fixing nut.

Fit the suction hose into the nut, then the ferrule. Push the hose into the barbed fitting as far as it will go and screw the nut by hand. Assemble the strainer on the other end of the hose using the same method. Immerse the strainer into the solution to be dosed. The maximum suction height is 4 metres [13 ft].

Partially open the water inlet. Press the bleed button on the top cap. When a constant flow of water is seen coming from around the bleed button, release it. Slowly open the bypass valves and close the main valve. Slowly open the fast priming valve situated downstream. Operate the DOSATRON D40MZ3000 until the product rises in the dosing part, then close the fast priming valve.

Dosing adjustment must be carried out unpressurised. Turn off the water inlet and allow the pressure to drop to zero. Unscrew the dosing locking nut by hand. Screw or unscrew the dosing adjustment sleeve so that the two display eyelet dots are facing the desired dosing marker. Retighten the dosing locking nut manually.

Routinely rinse the dosing pump by injecting clear water after use. Open the rinsing/fast priming valve situated downstream for a high-flow rinse. Annually replace the dosing part seals and the product suction hose. If the DOSATRON D40MZ3000 has been idle, remove the motor piston and soak it in lukewarm water (< 40 degrees C) for several hours to remove any deposits.

First, dismantle the dosing part. Do not use tools or metal utensils. To replace the O-ring of the dosing pump body, retighten the dosing locking nut completely, release the snap ring, and extract the dosing pump body. Unscrew the upper part, replace the O-ring, and screw back on. For the dosing piston O-ring, use a 6mm spanner to turn the plunger piston by a quarter turn to release it, fit the new one, and tighten with a quarter turn.

Turn off the water inlet and allow the pressure to drop to zero. Remove the suction hose. Unscrew the suction valve locking nut. Release the suction valve by pulling it into the axis of the dosing part. Thoroughly rinse the various parts of the valve using clear water. Refit following the order and position in the provided diagram.

Turn off the water inlet and allow pressure to drop to zero. Rinse the DOSATRON D40MZ3000 by aspirating clear water. Unscrew the cover manually and remove it. Remove the motor piston assembly by pulling upwards. Replace the assembly in the reverse order to dismantling. Refit the cover taking care not to damage its seal and screw it manually.

Possible causes and solutions: 1. Motor piston blocked: Restart the motor piston by hand. 2. Presence of air in the DOSATRON D40MZ3000: Bleed air by purging. 3. Overflow: Reduce flow or check motor valve seals. 4. Motor piston is broken: Return the unit to your distributor.

Check the following: 1. The motor piston has stopped working: See troubleshooting for motor piston. 2. Air tightness problem in the suction hose: Check the hose and the tightening of its nuts. 3. Suction hose obstructed or strainer blocked: Clean or replace them. 4. Suction valve seal worn, wrongly fitted or clogged: Clean or replace it. 5. Plunger seal wrongly fitted, clogged or swollen: Clean or replace it. 6. Dosing pump body scratched: Replace it.

For leaks close to the fixing nut under the pump body, the dosing body seal is likely damaged, wrongly positioned or absent; position it correctly or replace it. For leaks between the dosing adjustment sleeve and the dosing locking nut, the dosing pump body seal is likely damaged, wrongly positioned or absent; position it correctly or replace it. For leaks between the body and the top, the top seal is likely damaged, fitted incorrectly or absent; position it correctly, clean the seal groove or replace it.
