The oven will heat up to the adjusted temperature and maintain it. The thermostat indicator light will glow and remain on until the oven has reached the selected temperature, then it will switch off. After baking is complete, turn the function knob and temperature knob to the “0” (off) position.

What are some tips for baking, roasting, and grilling with the DEFY DBO484 oven?

Baking Tips:

• Use non-stick coated metal plates, aluminum vessels, or heat-resistant silicone moulds.

• Place the baking mould in the middle of the shelf.

• Do not change the shelf position when the oven is hot.

• Keep the oven door closed and do not open it until at least two-thirds of the baking time has passed.

Roasting Tips:

• Treating meat with dressings like lemon juice and black pepper before cooking will improve performance.

• Roasting meat with bones takes about 15 to 30 minutes longer than without bones.

• Each centimeter of meat thickness requires approximately 4 to 5 minutes of cooking time.

• Leave meat in the oven for about 10 minutes after cooking to allow juices to distribute.

Grilling Tips:

• Distribute pieces to be grilled on the wire shelf so the space covered does not exceed the size of the grill element.

• If grilling on the wire shelf, slide the baking tray to a lower rack to collect fats. Add some water to the tray for easier cleaning.

• Only grill food suitable for intensive grilling heat to avoid fire risk. Do not place food too far towards the back of the grill, as this is the hottest area.
