* Note: It is necessary to respect recommended width of creasing channel for different paper thickness. If we use inappropriate width of crease (usually narrow creasing channel for thick paper) inaccuracies in position of crease may appear, crease will be placed in different distance than what we set on display. If we use thick paper in combination with narrow crease, the result is that the paper is pressed into the creasing channel, the rollers start to slip trying to release the paper. Use wider crease in such case.

4. Dismount the 5 hexagonal screws (15) and the clamp (13).
5. Set the square bar (9) face up with the flat side without creasing channels.
6. Do not tighten the knife completely. Carry out a control upstroke to ensure the upper edge touches the slide, and then tighten the screws (15).
7. Reassemble the pressing mechanism (17) back into its original position.
How do I perform a ram adjustment on the CYKLOS GPM 450 SA?
The ram (14), which holds the perforating or creasing tool, can be moved down using the two adjusting screws (18). To adjust it:
1. Loosen the screws anticlockwise gradually by 1/12 of a revolution (approx. 30°). This moves the bar down.
2. After each 30° turn, fasten the nut and check if the perforating or creasing quality is sufficient.
3. Repeat until the desired quality is achieved.
Once the ram (14) is set up correctly, it is not necessary to readjust it with each change of function (perforating, creasing).
How do I select a different language on the touch screen of the CYKLOS GPM 450 SA?

5. Repeat for all remaining segments.
6. When all segments are set, press the “Return” icon to go back to the main menu.
How do I use the special fold types (1/2, 1/3, 1/4) on the CYKLOS GPM 450 SA?
The machine can automatically calculate common fold positions.
1. From the Setting screen, press the “>>>” icon to access the special folds menu.
2. Prepare a sheet of the paper you wish to process.

4. Press the “<<<", "Return", and "Start" icons. The main screen will now show the symbol for the selected fold type.
5. Feed one sheet through the machine. The machine will measure its length and calculate the required crease position (e.g., 1/2 of the length).
6. The screen will change back to the Setting screen, and the calculated distance will be displayed in the “length” box.
7. Return to the main screen and press “Start” to begin creasing. It is recommended to process one more sheet to check if the position is correct. If it’s not precise, you can return to the Setting screen and adjust the distance manually.
How do I use the book cover function on the CYKLOS GPM 450 SA?
The book cover function creates 4 creases for professional book and brochure covers.
1. In the special folds menu, select the “book cover” icon.
2. The machine is set to create 4 creases in the middle of the sheet with a fixed distance of 6 mm between the first and second crease, and between the third and fourth crease.
3. The distance between the second and third crease, which corresponds to the book’s spine thickness, is optional. Define this dimension by pressing the “length” icon below the book cover icon and entering the required value.
4. Follow the standard procedure to measure the paper and start the job.

If the machine stops during the upstroke of the ram (14), typically during adjustment, follow these steps:
1. Loosen the locking nuts on the adjusting screws (18).
2. Turn the adjusting screws (18) clockwise for two full revolutions. This will move the ram up.
3. When the upstroke cycle is terminated, the red diode will turn on.
4. After the machine is turned back on, the upstroke process should finish.
5. It is necessary to readjust the ram (14) for proper operation.
What should I do if there is a paper jam in the CYKLOS GPM 450 SA?
If paper gets jammed or damaged, you must turn the machine off immediately by pressing the STOP button (8). Then, follow these steps to remove the paper:
1. After the machine has stopped, tap on the MOVE icon on the display.
2. Carry out an upstroke by pressing the “1 turn” icon.
3. Use the “Backward” or “Forward” buttons, depending on the situation, to release and remove the jammed paper.
What should I do if the crease is in the incorrect position on my CYKLOS GPM 450 SA?
If the crease position does not match the value set on the display, it is likely due to using an inappropriate creasing channel width for the paper thickness.
This problem usually occurs when using a narrow creasing channel for thick paper. This causes inaccuracies because the paper is pressed too deeply into the channel, causing the rollers to slip as they try to release it.
To fix this, ensure you are using the recommended crease width for your paper’s thickness. You may need to use a wider crease in this case. Refer to the technical parameters for the correct crease width recommendations.
How should the CYKLOS GPM 450 SA be disposed of at the end of its life?
When the machine’s lifetime period is over, it is forbidden to dispose of it in the common waste. The machine must be properly disassembled and its parts sorted into metallic, non-metallic, plastic, rubber, and electronic components. These parts must be disposed of at relevant recycling points. Be aware that some parts of the machine may contain dangerous substances that are harmful to the environment and health.
