The display carton of the BENQ V32S disconnects from its base and lifts off over the top of the display. Follow the instructions on the carton to remove the upper carton from the base. Carefully unpack the display and accessories from the delivery carton by lifting the display from the base, being careful to avoid damage.

When installing the BENQ V32S, observe the following safety points:

1. Do not place the display on an uneven, sloping or unstable surface where it may fall.

2. Do not place the display near water or in a position where it may be splashed by water.

3. Do not place the display near or above sources of heat, such as radiators, heaters, fuel stoves and other heat generating items.

4. Do not place the display in direct sun or where direct sun or spot lighting will shine onto the display.

5. If recessed into a wall opening, you must leave at least 50 to 100mm free space both top and bottom for ventilation.

6. Do not cover or block the vents and openings while the display is switched on.

7. Do not place the display in an enclosed place without allowing for ventilation.

Connect a TV antenna cable fly lead from your TV antenna system or Cable TV (CATV) to the antenna input on the rear of the BENQ V32S.

First, plug the power cable into the AC input socket on the rear of the BENQ V32S and then into a wall power outlet. The display will enter standby mode and the power indicator will light up red. Press the Power button on the top of the display or on the remote control. The power indicator will change to green.

1. Turn the remote control end up to reveal its base and open the battery compartment lid by using a coin to rotate the slot 90 degrees anticlockwise.

2. Insert the supplied batteries, ensuring the positive and negative terminals match the markings in the compartment.

3. Refit the lid by inserting the hinge into the recess, levering it down, and rotating the locking slot 90 degrees clockwise with a coin.

When the BENQ V32S is first turned on, the First Turn On menu will display. Navigate through the menu using the arrow buttons and use the OK button to make selections. Select your preferred Language, Country, and TV Standard. Finally, select Auto Installation and press OK. The display will start searching for available programs and store them automatically.

Always turn off the display before cleaning. Use a slightly damp, well wrung out, lint free, clean soft cloth to lightly wipe the BENQ V32S. Do not use cream, liquid, aerosol or spray cleaners. If necessary, use a pH neutral liquid dish washing detergent diluted with water on a separate clean lint free cloth to remove oil or grease marks, then wipe again with a clean dry cloth.

The BENQ V32S supports the following inputs:

Analog TV: 1 x Coaxial analog TV Antenna (BNL)

Video: 2 x S-Video, 2 x Composite Video, and 2 x SCART

Graphic: 2 x Component Video (Y/Pb/Pr) or (Y/Cb/Cr), 1 x HDMI/DVI, and 1 x PC D-Sub

You can use the Program buttons on the remote control or the display to cycle through programs. You can also select a program directly by using the numeric buttons on the remote control. For double-digit programs, press the program entry button first, then enter the program number.

If the BENQ V32S is connected to both a Video and a Graphic source, press the PIP button to view both images on the screen simultaneously. You can choose between Full Screen display or Video On Graphic, where the video picture is displayed in a window over the graphics picture.

Press the Volume + or Volume – buttons on the remote control or the Volume up or Volume down buttons on the BENQ V32S display to adjust the audio level. Press the Mute button on the remote control to temporarily turn off the audio.

Connect the video output of your PC to the PC D-SUB terminal on the BENQ V32S using a 15-pin D-Sub cable. Connect the audio output of your PC to the BENQ V32S PC AUDIO input using a mini-jack stereo audio cable.

If the power indicator on the BENQ V32S flashes red, check the PC cable for disconnection, ensure the PC input has not been selected without a signal, or verify if the display has been placed in PC standby mode.

1. In the TV Menu of the BENQ V32S, select Manual Installation and press OK.

2. Use the arrow buttons to select the TV standard.

3. Highlight Selected PR and input the desired program number.

4. Highlight Frequency and press the arrow buttons to start tuning.

5. Highlight Fine Tune to adjust signal reception if necessary.

6. If using a SCART device, highlight Decode and select On or Off.

7. Select Store on Prog. and press OK to save.

1. In the TV Menu of the BENQ V32S, select Program Edit and press OK.

2. Select the program number you wish to lock.

3. Highlight PR Lock and set it to On.

Locked programs cannot be viewed when the Child Lock function is enabled.

1. In the TV Menu of the BENQ V32S, select Child Lock and press OK.

2. Enter the password (default is 0000).

3. Select Child Lock Activate and set it to On.
