Step 1. Lift the cover at the back of the remote control upward.

Step 2. Install two AAA size batteries, making sure to match the plus and minus ends of the batteries with the diagram inside the compartment.

Step 3. Replace the cover.

Check the following: Is the TV power on? Are the plus and minus ends of the batteries reversed? Are the batteries drained? Is there a power outage or is the power cord unplugged? Is there a special fluorescent light or neon sign nearby? Ensure no obstacles exist between the AURIA EQ4788 and the remote control.

Step 1. Carefully place the AURIA EQ4788 faced down on a suitable surface with a soft cloth or cushion with the base mounting facing towards you.

Step 2. Place the base onto the AURIA EQ4788 and fit the six base screws into the holes.

To turn the AURIA EQ4788 on, press the POWER button. To turn it off, press the POWER button on the AURIA EQ4788. You can also turn it on or off by using the POWER button on the remote control.

Step 1. Press the SOURCE button on the remote control.

Step 2. Use the up and down arrow buttons to move to the desired input source.

Step 3. Press the right arrow button to select.

Step 1. Press the MENU button on the remote control to display the Main menu, and use the left and right arrow buttons to select the PICTURE menu.

Step 2. Use the up and down arrow buttons to highlight an individual PICTURE option, use the left and right arrow buttons to change the setting.

Step 3. Press the MENU button to exit the menu.

The PICTURE menu options include:

Picture Mode: Cycle among picture display modes: Standard, Dynamic, Mild, User.

Contrast: Control the difference between the brightness and darkest regions of the picture.

Brightness: Control the overall brightness of the picture.

Color: Control the color.

Tint: Controls the tint.

Sharpness: Increase this setting to see crisp edges in the picture; decrease it for soft edges.

Color Temp.: Cycles among color modes: Normal, Cool, Warm.

Step 1. Press the MENU button on the remote control to display the Main menu, and use the left and right arrow buttons to select the AUDIO menu.

Step 2. Use the up and down arrow buttons to highlight an individual AUDIO option, use the left and right arrow buttons to change the setting.

Step 3. Press the MENU button to exit the menu.

The AUDIO menu options include:

Sound Mode: Allow you to select among: Standard, Music, Movie and User.

Bass: Control the relative intensity of lower pitched sounds.

Treble: Control the relative intensity of higher pitched sounds.

Balance: To adjust the balance of the left and right sound track.

Surround: Allow you to select between Off and On.

SPDIF Type: Allow you to select between PCM and RAW.

Audio Language: Allow you to select audio language among: English, French and Spanish.

Step 1. Press the MENU button on the remote control to display the Main menu, and use the left and right arrow buttons to select the TIMER menu.

Step 2. Use the up and down arrow buttons to highlight an individual TIMER option, use the left and right arrow buttons to change the setting.

Step 3. Press the MENU button to exit.

Step 1. Go to the LOCK menu.

Step 2. Input your 4-digit password to enter the menu.

Step 3. Use the down arrow button to select the Change Password item, then press the right arrow button.

Step 4. Input the new 4-digit password and input it again to confirm.

Step 1. Press the MENU button on the remote control, and use the left and right arrow buttons to select the CHANNEL menu.

Step 2. Use the up and down arrow buttons to highlight an individual CHANNEL option, use the left and right arrow buttons to change the setting.

Step 3. Press the MENU button to exit.

Step 1. Enter the CHANNEL menu.

Step 2. Use the down arrow button to highlight the Auto Scan item, then press the right arrow button to enter the menu.

Step 3. If you select “Air” as the input signal in the Antenna item, press the right arrow button to search the channels automatically.

Connect the AURIA EQ4788 PC Input terminal to the PC’s RGB terminal using a D-Sub cable. Connect the AURIA EQ4788 PC Audio terminal to the PC’s Audio terminal using an Audio cable (only for PCs with an Audio terminal). To use as a monitor, press the SOURCE button on the remote control and select “VGA”.

The following table lists supported resolutions for the AURIA EQ4788:

Step 1. Press the MUTE button.

Step 2. Increase the sound level by pressing the volume adjustment button.

Step 3. Check if the sound terminal of external input is connected properly.

Step 4. Check if audio cables are connected properly.

Step 5. Select and check the other input.
