The ATOTO A6 has several key parts and functions:

(1) Built-in Mic: The built-in microphone is for Bluetooth calling and voice command. An optional external microphone is also available but is generally not needed. It is suggested to mount the external microphone near the driver.

(2) Touch buttons:

• Touch the power icon once to mute the system sound. Press and hold it for 3 seconds to power off the unit.

• Touch the back arrow icon to go back to the previous screen or to exit an app.

• Touch the volume icons to adjust the volume up or down.

Note: The touch button assignment may vary on different models. For example, some models have song previous or next buttons.

(3) Reset button: This button is accessed by inserting a paper clip into the small hole. Resetting will cause a loss of user-selected system settings. The system may be reset if the product fails to work properly or if there is an operation problem.

(4) Micro SD slot: With its exposed contacts facing to the right, insert the micro SD card deep enough until it locks. To eject it, push it deeper until it unlocks.

(5) Display touchscreen: The touchscreen is capacitive with multi-touch function. Do not use pointed objects to operate it or push the touchscreen with force.

The USB quick charge port on the ATOTO A6 provides two modes of charging:

Standard charge: When standard charge is enabled, the charging current is less than 1A. Data transmitting through the USB will not be affected. All USB ports other than the Quick Charge port provide standard charge.

Quick charge: When quick charge is enabled, the charging peak current can reach up to 2A. Simultaneously, data transmitting through the USB port is cut off, which causes apps like Easy-Connect to fail to work. Reaching 2A of current depends on whether the connected phone or its charging cable support this feature.

The main menu of the ATOTO A6 includes several interactive elements:

1. Radio widget: Touch the right or left arrow buttons to change stations. Touch the power icon to turn the station on or off.

2. Shortcut apps: These can be created or erased.

3. Larger Shortcut apps: These can also be created or erased.

4. Additional apps: Touch the grid icon to access additional apps.

5. Back button: Touch the arrow icon to go back to the previous screen or menu.

6. Home button: Touch the house icon to go back to the main menu.

7. Recent apps: Touch the overlapping squares icon to display your most recently selected apps or shortcuts.

8. Notifications: Touch the bell icon to display shortcuts and recent notifications.

9. Sound effects: Touch “Flat” to shift among 9 preset sound effects.

10. Brightness: Touch the sun icon to adjust the screen brightness to one of three levels.

11. Mute: Touch the speaker icon to turn the sound on or off.

To customize the main menu screen on your ATOTO A6, follow these steps:

Change Wallpaper:

1. Press and hold any empty spot on the main menu screen.

2. Click “Wallpaper”, select the desired wallpaper, and confirm by pressing “SET WALLPAPER”.

Add Widgets:

1. Press and hold an empty spot on the main menu screen.

2. Click “Widgets” and select the desired widget/icon.

3. On the main menu or additional page of shortcuts, press and drag the new widget to any desired position.

Widgets can only be created if the app allows them. They can be dragged to any position in the upper part of the main menu, and their size can be customized.

The Dropdown Menu on the ATOTO A6 provides quick access to several functions:

• SPEED UP: To clear your cached data.

• SOUND: To enter the sound setting menu.

• SETTINGS: To enter the system setting menu.

• WLAN: To switch WiFi on or off. Press and hold it to enter the WiFi setting menu.

• STANDBY: To enter the daydream mode.

• RESTART: To pop up a dialogue box for selecting to restart.

• BLUETOOTH: To switch Bluetooth on or off. Press and hold it to enter the Bluetooth setting menu.

• SCREENSHOT: Touch it to capture the current screen.

• NOTIFICATIONS: Touch the X icon to clear all notifications.

The ATOTO A6 has a built-in GPS module that works with map apps. You can install maps on a micro SD card and insert it into the SD slot, then run the map app.

The unit comes with the preinstalled Google online map, which requires a network connection. You can download Google offline map data for your area.

1. Touch the navigation icon to enter navigation.

2. Touch the home icon to exit, and touch the recent apps icon to run the map app in the background.

3. Go to the map’s setting menu to download offline map data when the unit’s network is enabled.

Note: The GPS TTS voice and media sound are mixed. GPS voice has priority. When playing media, if a GPS TTS voice comes out, the media sound will be turned down and resume after. To prevent this, you can mute the GPS TTS voice in the map’s settings.

To operate the radio on your ATOTO A6:

• Search stations: Touch the < or > arrow buttons once to search forwards or backwards. Press and release to skip stations.

• Mute: Touch the speaker icon to turn the radio sound on or off.

• AF (Alternative Frequencies): Touch to turn this function on or off. It allows the receiver to retune to a stronger frequency for the same station.

• PTY (Programme Type): Touch to display RDS channels. You can choose a program type (e.g., News, Rock) to search for stations.

• TA (Traffic Announcement): Touch to switch TA stations on or off. This allows the receiver to retune for traffic bulletins.

• Scan: Touch the magnifying glass icon to scan and play stations.

• Seek: Touch the double arrow icon to perform non-stop seek tuning.

• Local/Distant: Touch LOC to switch between local or distant station searching.

• Direct Tune: Touch the keyboard icon to input a frequency to tune to that station.

• Detected Stations: Touch the list icon to display detected stations.

• Favorite Stations: Touch the star icon to display your favorite stations.

• Band: Touch FM/AM to shift between FM and AM stations.

• Save Favorite: Press and hold the current station frequency to add it to your favorite stations list. You can also name a favorite station by pressing and holding it and entering a name in the pop-up box.

Follow these steps to connect your phone to Bluetooth 1 for calling and music streaming:

1. Put the ATOTO A6 unit in connection status by going to the Bluetooth 1 App from the main menu.

2. Turn on your smartphone’s Bluetooth and ensure its visibility status is turned on.

3. The unit’s Bluetooth name will be displayed on your phone. Touch it to enable the connection.

Notes:

• You can customize the unit’s network name and pin code.

• You can enable “Auto Answer” for calls to be picked up automatically.

• A paired device can be deleted manually, but it will need to be re-registered.

• Ensure your phone is in visible status, as invisible status may cause connection failures.

To connect to Bluetooth 2 for data sharing (like internet tethering), follow these steps:

1. Enable Tethering on your phone: Before connecting, you must enable your smartphone’s “Bluetooth tethering” function.

2. Navigate on the ATOTO A6: Go to the main menu > settings > wireless & networks > Bluetooth2.

3. Pair the devices: Scan for your phone from the ATOTO A6, select it, and confirm the pairing request on both devices. You may need to allow access to contacts and call history, but remember that calling functions are handled by Bluetooth 1.

Important Notes:

• Bluetooth 2 is for data sharing only and cannot be used for phone calls.

• Bluetooth 2 can be connected to two devices, such as an OBD device and a smartphone, but not to two smartphones at the same time.

• When using smartphone data sharing, Bluetooth 2 may lose connection normally due to a weak phone signal.

To make a call using Bluetooth 1 on your ATOTO A6:

• Dialing a number: Dial the call number on the keypad and touch the phone icon to make a call.

• Calling from history: Touch any of the listed call history recipients to make a call without using the keypad. Your phone’s call history can be synced to the unit.

Call History Tabs:

• Touch the phonebook icon to display all call history.

• Touch the outgoing arrow icon to display the call-out history.

• Touch the incoming arrow icon to display the incoming call history.

• Touch the broken arrow icon to display missed call history.

• Touch the trash can icon to delete all call history.

During an incoming call on the ATOTO A6, you have several options:

• Answer/End: To answer a call, touch “Answer”. To end a call, touch “Hang up”.

• Mute Microphone: Touch the microphone icon to switch the unit’s microphone off or back on.

• Private Call: Touch the speaker icon to turn off the car’s speakers and take or make calls privately on your phone. Touch it again to turn the speakers back on for hands-free calling.

• Volume: Touch the bar to turn the volume up or down.

Contacts:

1. Download Contacts: Press and slide down to download contacts from the phone manually.

2. Search: Search for contacts by alphabetic order.

3. Add to Favorites: Press and hold the desired contact, then touch the pop-up heart icon to add the contact to favorites.

4. View Favorites: Touch the star icon to display favorite contacts.

5. View All: Touch the person icon to view the list of all contacts.

Bluetooth Music Streaming:

• Audio music will stream from your phone via Bluetooth connection.

• The Bluetooth music menu can display ID3 information, such as singer name and album title.

• Use the arrow buttons to select music files forward or backward, and press the play/pause button to control playback.

The ATOTO A6 can play audio and video files from an external USB device, micro SD card, and the built-in flash drive.

Audio Play:

1. Repeat Mode: Touch the repeat icon to shift among “repeat one”, “repeat all”, or “random play”.

2. Playback Control: Touch the arrow buttons to select music files forward or backward. Touch the play/pause icon to play or pause.

3. Music List: Touch the list icon to display a list of available music.

4. Favorites: Touch the heart icon to add a song to your favorite list; touch it again to cancel.

Video Play:

1. Playback Control: Touch the arrow icons to select video files forward or backward. Touch the play/pause icon to play or pause.

2. Video List: Touch the list icon to display a list of available videos.

The USB dash camera is sold separately. To operate it:

1. Record: Touch the record icon to start or pause camera video recording.

2. Photo: Touch the camera icon to take a still photo.

3. Settings: Touch the gear icon to access dash camera settings.

4. Delete: Touch the trash can icon to delete recorded videos.

5. View Files: Touch the folder icon to display the recorded video files.

6. Lock File: Touch the lock icon to lock the current recorded file; touch again to unlock it. Locked files will not be deleted by subsequent video recording.

Settings Options:

• Automatic Recording: Switch on or off.

• Resolution: Set recording resolution to low, standard, or high.

• Video Clip Length: Set the clip length to 1, 3, 5, or 10 minutes.

Important Notes:

• Recorded video files must be played using the built-in video app.

• A class 10 micro SD card is recommended for smooth recording.

• The USB dash cam must be connected to the specially assigned USB connector (USB-A, USB1).

The Easy-Connect app supports both WiFi and USB connections for Android phones. A Bluetooth connection must be established first.

A: WiFi Wireless Connection with Android Phone

1. For the first-time connection, connect the phone to the unit using a USB cable.

2. Go to your phone’s “Connections” under “Settings” and enable WiFi. If available, enable “USB debug” in its Developer options.

3. During initialization, the Easy-Connect app will be downloaded from the cloud and installed on the phone automatically.

B: USB Cable Connection with Android Phone

1. Connect the smartphone’s USB cable to the unit’s specially-designed USB-B port. If available, enable the phone’s “USB debug” in the Developer options settings.

2. During connection initialization, the Easy-Connect app will be downloaded from the cloud and installed on the phone automatically.

For iPhones, the Easy-Connect app on the ATOTO A6 only supports WiFi wireless connection. Operation is performed on the iPhone only, not on the unit’s screen.

1. Share your iPhone’s WiFi hotspot with the ATOTO A6.

2. Enable the ATOTO A6 WiFi connection via the phone.

3. Set up iPhone AirPlay to mirror as follows:

• Touch “AirPlay” to access mirror settings.

• Enable “EC-Mirror-Gv”.

• Enable “Mirroring” and then click “Done”.

To program the steering wheel controls on your ATOTO A6, follow these steps. The programming is based on resistance analog signal input.

Step 1: Access the product’s steering wheel setting menu: Settings > device > default settings > steering wheel program.

Step 2: Press and hold the key on the product (on-screen), and simultaneously press and hold the corresponding key on your car’s steering wheel. Continue holding until the product key stops flashing and a triangle appears near the upper left on the screen.

Step 3: Program all keys in this manner. After all keys are programmed, press “save”. If some keys are not successfully programmed, press “reset” to clear and start again at Step 1.

Before updating your ATOTO A6, ensure the unit is connected to the internet and has a strong signal.

1. In the “About device” settings, touch “System update”.

2. Touch “check for update” to see if the firmware is up to date. If not, the latest firmware (OS & MCU) can be detected, downloaded, and installed.

3. The OS firmware will update first, which takes a few minutes. After finishing, the unit will restart automatically.

4. About 10 seconds after the OS update is complete, the system will detect the current MCU firmware. If an update is needed, an MCU update dialogue will pop up. After the MCU is completed, the system will restart again.

Warning: During updating, do not switch off the vehicle’s engine or turn off the unit’s power. The unit will be damaged if power is shut off during an update process. Do not operate the unit during an update to avoid the risk of damage.
